Truly Independent is our slogan. Our small independent film festival in beautiful Southeastern Colorado shows it's filmmakers and screenwriters that personal touch. We want to help our winners get their project to the next level, and we have successfully done so the three years we've been in business.
We bring a variety of industry professionals to our festival to share their knowledge and experiences to our festival attendees. Networking with your peers in an intimate setting and making that one connection to help each other out. Our winners return each year, which is a testament to our desirability.

Awards & Prizes

TrindieFest offers it's winners a Bronze, Silver or Gold Award Certificate, gift bags and access to all festival activities. One top winner in film and screenplay each are awarded a Best In Show "Mitchell" Award. Additionally, we have worked out deals in the past that have connected filmmakers to distributors and screenwriters to an agent and query letters that have led to production deals. This year, we've partnered with InkTip, and they are offering (1) InkTip Script Listing to the top (3) winners in our screenwriting contest. This is a great opportunity for our submitters to move their screenplay up the ladder and on to film.
We want to let our screenwriters shine at our festival! Usually overlooked during a festival, in 2013 we began filming screenplay winners "excerpts", acted out by local college drama students, and shown during our Opening Ceremony. We also provided copies to our screenplay winners to expose the potential of their work on film.

Rules & Terms

Submissions will be accepted as follows:
All Films must be submitted on DVD NTSC format or Blu-Ray disc.
No PAL format will be accepted.
DVD or Blu-Ray must Auto-Play…no opening menu.
Non-English speaking films must have English subtitles.
DVD's or Blu-Rays will not be returned after review or completion of festival.
All Screenplays must be submitted in PDF Format.
Screenplay must be formatted to industry standard.
(Check Final Draft software to review industry standard.)
It is highly recommended that your screenplay be registered to ensure your protection.
Screenplay must be in English.
Screenplay must be a minimum of 60 pages.
You must provide a properly completed and signed official "TrindieFest Registration Form" including all press and publication assets. (This form can be found on our website.)
Entrants must fully comply with these Entry Rules & Regulations, including all deadlines, film length, entry material and other requirements.
