Join us at the 3rd annual Burnaby Film Forum at the Shadbolt Centre of the Arts presented by the Burnaby Arts Council. The event will happen during Culture days September 30th, 2016. This event will feature a diverse sampling of emerging experimental films. Films will be screened with public discussion with film profession and awards ceremony.

ALL films MUST be maximum RUN TIME of 4 minutes long. All entries larger than 3 minutes will be not considered and deleted.

ALL categories besides the INTERNATIONAL you MUST be a resident of Canada.

There are a total of 3 awards given for the entire Film Forum.

Please read the category rules carefully. All entries that do not follow the specified rules will be deleted immediately and not considered as an entry.

ALL categories besides the INTERNATIONAL you MUST be a resident of Canada.

The INTERNATIONAL category is open to anyone OUTSIDE of CANADA.

All films must be MAXIMUM 4 minutes long.

ALL Movies submitted must be maximum 3 minutes long and in MP4 format.

1) ELIGIBILITY

You must be a resident of British Columbia, CANADA. There is no age limit. There are categories for International submissions. Please the correct category when submitting your film! Otherwise the entry will be deleted and disregarded.

We encourage submissions that are independently produced. We welcome films and videos of all genres, including but not limited to: narrative, documentary, short, animation, experimental, etc.

Incomplete applications will not be considered.

2) SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS

ALL films must be submitted via FilmFreeway in an mp4 format.

3) SUBMISSION FORMAT

Submission Format is DVD MPEG 4. Only this format will be considered and reviewed. MUST include a complete list of submissions labeled with title, director’s name, running time, year and contact information

4) DISCLAIMER

By submitting to this forum, you hereby grant the Burnaby Arts Council permission to screen and otherwise use the aforementioned title (the “Work”) in connection with the 2016 forum. You represent and warrant that you have all the rights in and to the Work and/or you have the authority to grant the BAC the rights to screen and otherwise use the Work. Your film forum acceptance also grants BAC permission to use stills and excerpts from the Work for promotional and publicity use.
