  • I can’t understand why the festival launched a new edition, but didn’t choose a winner in the previous one and every day delays notification of the selection?

Our cast and crew were so excited to be selected by Bloody Horror International Film Festival and even more excited to receive and Honorable Mention for our little short film. As a self-funded directorial debut, it was amazing to have so many cast and crew come on board to make this film. I am thankful for the encouragement this award has given me to keep directing as well as writing and producing. This past weekend, I wrapped my next short film. Thank you to Bloody Horror International Film Festival for your faith in our film. :)

Tanya, we really enjoyed your film - very impressive work! This is what BHIFF is all about! :)

  • Overall a very good experience. The team at BHIFF dealt with some issues with their FB being hacked, so the announcements were delayed and their communication around this was great! Regretfully my film was only an honorable mention, but I will definitely will submit again. I didn't attend in person so I can't really speak to the quality of the screening event, hospitality or networking opportunities at the festival itself, so I can't really provide a star rating. All that said, I would definitely recommend.
