The International Exhibition of Super Short Films (dba 100-Second Film Festival) is a celebration of extremely short film from around the world. This community spirited event seeks to curate a global mosaic of voices and moving images. The festival is non-competitive and non-commercial. Films accepted are around 100 seconds in duration. All subjects, formats, genres, skill levels and backgrounds are welcome - the only constraint is the time limit.

Films are exhibited in the Greater Boston area in a traveling show. Certain selections are also broadcast on community access television around the United States and preserved forever on the Internet Archive. Other collaborations and exchanges with similar short film festivals are encouraged.

The exhibition is the outgrowth of a Boston area based 100-Seconds Film Festival initiated in Lowell, Massachusetts in 2004.

We have an audience favorite award but is otherwise non-competitive and non-commercial.

  • I was unable to attend this festival or my film screening there but strongly recommend this festival for the fact that there are not very many forums for showcasing super short films. They are difficult to programme for television and don't find theatrical release. The diversity of selected work speaks well for this festival.

  • I was warmly welcomed at this community-based festival. I was pleasantly surprised by the open-mindedness of the audience, as well as by their interest and participation during the Q&A. The program tried to include a little something for every taste, with some definitely strong pieces in the lot. I would love to go back to North Easton if the opportunity comes along. Many thanks to all involved.
