For the selection all the films must be submitted with French or english subtitles.

If the film is selected it must be sent for the screening with french subtitles. It's a mandatory condition.

Please tell us if it's difficult for you to do a french translation we can help. Without french subtitles the film will be withdraw of the competition.

For the screening the directors, producers, schools will provide a DCP File to the festival. Don't hesitate to contact us about that.

The length must be 59mn maximum

The Festival of Animated Film of Paris propose you to (re)discover the diversity and abundance of national and international independent animated creation, (national and international ) on short format.The Festival introduces you to an plural exploration of animated cinema throughout screenings and meetings.

Without imposed topic and open to all technics, PIAFF provides an opportunity to young creators, pros and amateurs, to get known by the audience. Through the competition, the Festival is awarding the best of contemporary animated creation.
As the Festival brings the enthusiasts and the uninitiated together, it favours a social and cultural blend, constituting a real network of collaboration and artistic promotion.

Regulations and Registration Terms for "PIAFF", Paris International Animation Film Festival

PIAFF is a space to creators of short animated films directed with all animated technics

1. SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

-Film with a duration of 59 minutes maximum.

- In case of selection the directors or producers undertake to provide French subtitles one month after the date of the receipt of the mail announcing the selection.
It's a mandatory condition for the screening and if french subtitles are not provided the film will be withdraw of the selection

2. ANIMATED FILMS SELECTED:

- Techniques used: All and beyond

- Whatever the genre, Whatever the age and the nationality of the directors, Whatever ...

- The film must have been finished maximum 2 years before the date of the festival

3. THE SELECTION OF THE FILM CAN BE MADE EITHER:

- By e-mail: piaff.inscription@gmail.com
- By the FilmFreeway platform (but you are here so you know)

If your film is selected you will have a response in November

4. SUBMISSION TERMS AND CONSTITUTION OF THE FOLDER:

- 3 image of the film
- 1 picture/image of the director( s)

5. THE AWARDS TO THE WINNERS:

6. RULES AND REGISTRATION MODALITIES:

The registration is free

In order to ensure the promotion of the festival, productions and right holders of the artwork selected give their free agreement that their film may be, if necessary, presented to the media.
If necessary, an extract of 30 seconds of the film may be requested to promote the festival in the media.

You grant PIAFF the right to broadcast your film if it receives an award for one or two screenings for the promotion of the festival. It won't be a commercial use and the film will be shown in cinemas never online.

The rightful owners assign to the PIAFF, without compensation, the rights of reproduction of the images of their film attached to the file of inscription for a diffusion in the press, the catalog of the festival or on the website of the PIAFF .

In order to make the festival known a mention of the selection on social networks and websites will be very appreciable.

    Être sélectionnés au PIAFF, Paris International Animation Film Festival avec notre vidéo musicale Teri Djougou a été une très belle expérience. Bien que nous n’ayons pas pu assister à la projection, la communication de l’équipe du festival a été fluide et très professionnelle tout au long du processus.
    Nous avons également été touchés de recevoir des retours spontanés de personnes présentes lors de la projection, notamment via Instagram, nous faisant part de leur enthousiasme et de l’impact du film. Cela témoigne de la qualité de la programmation et de l’attention portée aux œuvres sélectionnées.
