“Social World Film Festival” is the most emotional festival in the world with events, movies, previews, innovative activities, jury of young people and professionals, workshops, competitions, presentations and thousands of visitors.
The thirteenth edition of the International Social Cinema Festival “Social World Film Festival” will take place from 2 July to 9 July 2024 in Vico Equense (Sorrento Coast - Italy) between activities in presence and innovative streaming modes aimed as always to ensure the interaction, direct and in connection, of the authors with the audience of the event.
The winners of the competitive selections are awarded during the Gala Night scheduled for the thirteenth edition in Vico Equense (Sorrento Coast - Italy).

La Mostra internazionale del Cinema Sociale “Social World Film Festival” è l’evento cinematografico più emozionante al mondo, ricco di eventi, film, anteprime, attività innovative, giurie di giovani e professionisti, workshop, contest, presentazioni e la partecipazione di migliaia di spettatori.
La tredicesima edizione della Mostra internazionale del Cinema Sociale “Social World Film Festival” si tiene dal 2 al 9 luglio 2024 a Vico Equense (Costiera Sorrentina – Italia) tra attività in presenza e modalità streaming innovative volte come sempre a garantire l’interazione, diretta e in collegamento, degli autori con il pubblico dell’evento.

All the prizes are awarded at the unquestionable and unappealable judgment of the relevant juries.

a) All the selections. All the short films belonging to both competitive and non-competitive sections of the “Social World Film Festival”, including the section Market, have the possibility to win the “Prize Rai Cinema Channel” with a value of € 1.000,00 awarded by a special jury Rai Cinema to the short film which is suitable to the distributed-on web channel and which consists of a contract for the purchase of the rights for broadcasting the short film on the web and TV, by Rai Cinema, benefiting of the visibility ensured by www.raicinemachannel.it and its partner websites.
The Prize Rai Cinema Channel is provided only if explicitly authorised with a specific form sent to all the participants.

b) International Competition. The “Jury of Quality – Feature Films”, is made of exponents of national and international cinema world and judges the feature films, awarding the “Golden Spike Award for the Best Feature Film”. The “Jury of Critics” is made of exponents from national newspapers, television and radio; this jury evaluates the documentary category and awards the “Golden Spike Award for Best Documentary”. The “Jury of Quality - Short Films” is made of exponents of national and international cinema world, evaluates the works in competition in the short film category and awards the “Golden Spike Award for the Best Short Film”. The “Youth Jury” is made of youngsters coming from all regions of Italy and judges the feature films category, awarding the “Golden Spike Award for the Best Director”, the “Golden Spike Award for Best Actor”, the “Golden Spike Award for Best Actress” and the “Golden Spike Award for Best Screenplay”, the “Golden Spike Award for Best Editing” and the “Golden Spike Award for Best Soundtrack”. The “Teenage Jury” is made of teenagers from Vico Equense and adjacent municipalities, judging the works belonging to the category of short films and awarding the “Golden Spike Award for the Best Director”, the “Golden Spike Award for Best Actor”, the “Golden Spike Award for Best Actress”, the “Golden Spike Award for Best Screenplay”, the “Golden Spike Award for Best Editing” and the “Golden Spike Award for Best Soundtrack”.
Any additional cash prizes, services and/or goods will be communicated to the participants before the beginning of the festival.

c) Focus, looking to the south. The “Jury of Quality – Features Films and Short Films” is made of exponents of national and international cinema world and/or journalists, judges the feature films and the short films, awarding the “Golden Spike Award for the Best Feature Film / Short Film”. The “Focus Jury” is made of film-loving citizens and students from cinema schools and evaluates the works in competition into the categories of feature films and short films, awarding the “Prizes for the Best Feature Film of Focus Selection” and “Best Short Film of Focus Selection”.
Any additional cash prizes, services and/or goods will be communicated to the participants before the beginning of the festival.

d) Smile, social with a smile. The “Jury of Students”, made of students from upper secondary schools of the Campania Region, evaluates the works in competition and awarding the “Prize for the Best Short Film of the Smile Selection”.
Any additional cash prizes, services and/or goods will be communicated to the participants before the beginning of the festival.

e) Screen-play. The screenplays of feature films, documentaries and short films sent have the possibility to win the “Prize Paradise Pictures” conferred by a special jury. The Prize consists in the production of a cinematic work based on screenplay winning. The winner receives a prize of €1.000 in a purchase contract for screenplay rights.
The Paradise Pictures Prize is awarded exclusively if the winning work exceeds 60/100 points awarded by the jury.

Any other prizes and/or recognitions will be communicated before the beginning of the festival.

a) Tutte le selezioni. Tutte le opere di cortometraggio delle selezioni competitive e non competitive del “Social World Film Festival”, ivi compresa la selezione Mercato, concorrono all’attribuzione del “Premio Rai Cinema Channel” del valore di 1.000,00 euro conferito da una speciale giuria di Rai Cinema al cortometraggio sociale che ben si presti ad essere diffuso sui canali web e che consiste in un contratto di acquisto dei diritti per la messa in onda sul web e tv del cortometraggio, da parte di Rai Cinema e godrà della visibilità su www.raicinemachannel.it e sui suoi siti partner.
Il Premio Rai Cinema Channel è previsto solo se esplicitamente autorizzato in una apposita scheda inviata a tutti gli iscritti.

b) Concorso Internazionale. La “Giuria di Qualità - lungometraggi”, composta da esponenti della cultura cinematografica nazionale ed internazionale, valuta le opere in concorso alla categoria lungometraggi e conferisce il “Golden Spike Award for Best Feature Film”. La “Giuria Critica”, composta da esponenti di giornali, televisioni e radio nazionali, valuta le opere in concorso alla categoria documentari e conferisce il “Golden Spike Award for Best Documentary”. La “Giuria di Qualità - cortometraggi”, composta da esponenti della cultura cinematografica nazionale ed internazionale, valuta le opere in concorso alla categoria cortometraggi e conferisce il “Golden Spike Award for Best Short Film”. La “Giuria Giovani”, composta da giovani provenienti da tutte le regioni della Repubblica italiana, valuta le opere in concorso alla categoria lungometraggi e conferisce i premi “Golden Spike Award for Best Director”, “Golden Spike Award for Best Actor”, “Golden Spike Award for Best Actress”, “Golden Spike Award for Best Screenplay”, “Golden Spike Award for Best Editing”, “Golden Spike Award for Best Soundtrack”. La “Giuria di Qualità Focus – lungometraggi e cortometraggi”, composta da esponenti della cultura cinematografica nazionale ed internazionale e/o da giornalisti, valuta le opere in concorso e conferisce il “Golden Spike Award for Best Feature Film/Short Film”. La “Giuria Focus”, composta da cittadini appassionati di cinema e studenti di scuole di cinema, valuta le opere in concorso alla categoria lungometraggi e cortometraggi conferendo il “Premio come miglior Lungometraggio della Selezione Focus” e il “Premio come miglior Cortometraggio della Selezione Focus”.
Eventuali ulteriori premi in denaro, servizi e/o beni saranno comunicati ai partecipanti prima dell'inizio del festival.

d) Smile, sociale con sorriso. La “Giuria Studenti”, composta da studenti delle scuole secondarie della Regione Campania, valuta le opere in concorso e conferisce il “Premio come miglior Cortometraggio della Selezione Smile”.
Eventuali ulteriori premi in denaro, servizi e/o beni saranno comunicati ai partecipanti prima dell'inizio del festival.

e) Screen-play. Le sceneggiature di lungometraggi, documentari e cortometraggi inviate concorrono all’attribuzione del “Premio Paradise Pictures” conferito da una apposita giuria. Il Premio consiste nella produzione di un’opera cinematografica basata sulla sceneggiatura inviata. Al vincitore sarà riconosciuto un premio in denaro di 1.000 euro che consiste in un contratto di acquisto dei diritti della sceneggiatura.
Il Premio Paradise Pictures è conferito esclusivamente se l’opera vincitrice supera il punteggio di 60/100 attribuito dall’apposita giuria.

1. ORGANIZATION
The film competition of the International Social Cinema Festival “Social World Film Festival” is managed annually by the Italian Film Factory AP on behalf of the Municipality of Vico Equense, with the support of the President of the Republic of Italy, of the Medals awarded by the Italian Senate and Chamber of Deputies, Under the high patronage of the European Parliament and thanks to the collaboration of Rai Cinema Channel, Paradise Pictures, Cinema Editions, and University of Cinema.

2. PLACE AND TIME
The thirteenth edition of the International Social Cinema Festival “Social World Film Festival” will take place from 2 July to 9 July 2023 in Vico Equense (Sorrento Coast - Italy) between activities in presence and innovative streaming modes aimed as always to ensure the interaction, direct and in connection, of the authors with the audience of the event.
The dates may vary; the definitive and complete information of the thirteenth edition of the International Social Film Festival is made known during the international press conference held in May during the Cannes Film Festival or elsewhere, details and period of time communicated in advance.

3. PURPOSES
The International Social Cinema Festival “Social World Film Festival” is a cinematographic contest, a moment of cultural and social aggregation, social criticism, reflection and an opportunity of formative life experience.

The main goal of the contest is to create an international communication, a comparison for the needs of society as well as a spot where criticism, development and promotion take place.
“Social World Film Festival” is the first and only contest completely dedicated to the social cinema in all its interpretations.
“Social World Film Festival” believes in the power of social cinema by spreading films, documentaries and short films which features social topics, in order to push the audience to reflect upon these themes.

4. SELECTIONS
The International Social Cinema Festival “Social World Film Festival” is made of 12 sections called “Sections”.

1) Big Screen. Non-competitive section of feature films, short films and documentaries dealing with important social issues and prestigious productions which has been presented and awarded in international festivals or have received a special acknowledgement by the public or the critic.

2) International Competition. Competitive section divided into three categories (feature films, short films and documentaries) of works dealing with social issues which are presented in preview (absolute / international / national and/or regional) or invited by the Artistic Direction. The categories will be awarded by juries made of personalities from the world of cinema or of social issues, together with representatives of the public and of youngsters participating to the activities of the festival.

3) Focus, looking to the south. Competitive selection divided into two categories (feature films / documentaries and short films) of works dealing with social issues realised for 70% at least in the regions of the South of Italy (Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Puglia, Sardinia, Sicily) or directed by a director born in these regions. The categories will be awarded by juries made of personalities from the world of cinema or journalists, together with representatives of the public and of youngsters participating to the activities of the festival.

4) Smile, social with a smile. Competitive section of short films dealing with social issues, but with a humorous attitude. The jury for this selection will be made of students, as it has been for past editions in which more than 20,000 students joined the project.
Screenings and related activities will take place during the academic year 2023/2024.

5) School, cinema at school. Non-competitive section dedicated to short films dealing with social issues, realised by cinema students or students coming from all other kind of schools.
The screenings and the activities related to this section take place during the academic year 2023/2024.

6) The night of cinema. Non-competitive section to give space and visibility to short films and documentaries dealing with social issues which are not able to find a distribution in theatres, television or traditional festival circuit.
Screenings take place in unconventional locations and/or times.

7) The city of the short film. Competitive section which intends to give space and visibility to short films dealing with social issues realised by young Italian directors under 40.
The selected films are published on the Rai Cinema Channel website and/or of a partner of the kermesse.

8) New languages. Non-competitive section of cinema, television and web films of any genres and duration such as experimental video, 3D/4D cinema, vertically with 9:16 aspect ratio, made with any type of mobile phone, TV series and web series, commercials, music video and works created with new techniques and languages.

9) Screen-play. Competitive section of original and unpublished screenplays for feature films, short films and documentaries. A special jury made of personalities from the world of cinema attributes the expected prize.

10) Vision VR. Non-competitive section of international short films and documentaries shot in virtual reality.

11) Out of Competition. Non-competitive section including feature films, short films and documentaries dealing with social issues and not belonging to other sections, but still relevant for the “Social World Film Festival”.

12) Market. Autonomous section at the festival, non-competitive section, aimed at giving visibility in a special space dedicated to dissemination and commercialisation of cinema works. The screenings can be booked on-demand area of the “European Market of Young Independent Cinema”, according to a specific regulation, which takes place on some days of “Social World Film Festival”.

All the works in competition and out of competition of the thirteenth edition of the International Social Cinema Festival "Social World Film Festival" are presented both in presence at Vico Equense and on-demand on the dedicated portal protect www.socialfestival.com/live (subject to any restrictions by local, national and/or international authorities).

5. REQUISITES
The Selections of the International Social Cinema Festival “Social World Film Festival” is open to all the cinema, television and web works which deal with one or more topics of great social issues.
The works should have been realised in Italian and possibility subtitled in English or be made in English or be made in any other language, but in this case necessarily with English subtitles.
The same director/author can present up to five different works at the thirteenth edition of the International Social Cinema Festival "Social World Film Festival".

The same production and/or distribution company has no limits for the number of works presented at the thirteenth edition of the International Social Cinema Festival "Social World Film Festival".

6. SELECTION AND PARTICIPATION
After examining all the works presented within and in compliance with the terms established into these Regulations, the Artistic Direction of Social World Film Festival will select in its sole discretion the finalists of each section, which are going to be projected during the events at the thirteenth edition of the International Social Cinema Festival “Social World Film Festival” or made available online on its portal or website.

Each work selected will be included, with a specific notification, into the programme of the festival, without further acceptance, and it will not be able to retire it. In case the production (or the holder of the rights to the work) requires the retirement from the festival program, an indemnity of € 1.000,00 must be paid to the organisation of the festival by way of compensation.

No fee will be paid for the screening of the works included in the selections of the "Social World Film Festival".
All shipping costs (including customs costs and other expenses) are the responsibility of the participant (included the return), unless otherwise agreed with the Artistic Direction.

The director or producer/distributor and the protagonists of the selected works, in this case those who are candidates for a given prize, will be invited to intervene for a debate with the jurors, spectators and journalists present at the end of each screening or via connection streaming or video interview/recorded intervention.
The order, the calendar and the opening hours will be decided unquestionably by the Artistic Direction of the "Social World Film Festival".

In case of registration of the films by a distribution company, if one or more representative films are selected, the distribution company must communicate the direct contacts (even just email) of the author/director/producer and/or candidate artists to one or more awards. The festival Organization will communicate directly with the authors/producers/artists always making the distribution company aware (in copy).

Due to the historical and architectural peculiarity of the locations hosting the festival, it is not always possible to screening the selected works in DCP. For this reason, files, Blu-ray Discs or DVDs, beyond the DCP format for cinemas that provide the possibility, will be required by the authors or the distributions of the selected works, which must be free of any overwritten or dithered. If the screening copies are not received, the DVDs sent for selection or the files downloaded by Vimeo or other platforms will be used. Any special cases will be assessed at the sole discretion of the Artistic Direction of the "Social World Film Festival".

7. DELIVERY DATES
The electronic form of subscription at the “Social World Film Festival” exclusively through online platforms with periodic intermediate deadlines and final deadline of 19th May 2023.
The list of the finalists will be published on the website www.socialfestival.com after the press conference to launch the “Social World Film Festival” held in Naples and Rome in the period June/July 2023 or elsewhere, modality and period previously communicated.

8. JURIES AND AWARDS
All the prizes are awarded at the unquestionable and unappealable judgment of the relevant juries.

a) All the selections. The Prize consists in the production of a cinematic work based on screenplay winning. The winner receives a prize of €1.000 in a purchase contract for screenplay rights.
The Paradise Pictures Prize is awarded exclusively if the winning work exceeds 60/100 points awarded by the jury.

Any other prizes and/or recognitions will be communicated before the beginning of the festival.

9. HOSPITALITY
For each work selected at the official awards of the “International Competition” of “Social World Film Festival” will be hosted (board and lodging, based on the programme, one double room for each work) in one of the wonderful accommodations in Vico Equense (Sorrento Coast – Italy) for the director or the producer/distributor and possibly the candidates to one of the official awards of the selected work.
Participants coming from Italy will be hosted for one night, those coming from Europe for two nights and those coming from the rest of the world for three nights.
The dates will depend on the day and time of the projection.

No other kind of hospitality will be provided to other selections at the “Social World Film Festival” and if it is not possible to host the participants as a result of measures by local, regional, national and/or international authorities or at the disposal of the festival Organization for the protection health public and viewers.

Any special cases will be considered in the sole discretion of the Artistic Direction of “Social World Film Festival”.

10. RIGHTS
For cinema, television and web films
By participating to “Social World Film Festival”, the participant grants a non-exclusive and free of charge licence to the Italian Film Factory APS of projecting the work to the public integrally both in presence and online (on a secure site, upon registration and for a limited number of days not exceeding the duration of the Festival) during “Social World Film Festival”, during all the other events related to the festival and during other events (national and/or international) organized by the Italian Film Factory APS or in collaboration with the Italian Film Factory APS, without receiving any compensation. By participating to “Social World Film Festival”, the participant grants to Italian Film Factory APS the right to add subtitles to the work or to use parts or extracts from the work to promote “Social World Film Festival”, events related to it and other events (national and/or international) organized by or in collaboration with Italian Film Factory APS, without receiving any compensation. Moreover, by participating to “Social World Film Festival”, the participant grants non-exclusive licence to Italian Film Factory APS the rights to publish promotional material related to the work (by way of example but not limited to plot, cast list, photos, trailers) on its website www.socialfestival.com and on other websites, magazines, DVDs realised in collaboration with Italian Film Factory APS, without receiving any compensation.
The Italian Film Factory APS will evaluate the work (if explicitly authorised with a specific form sent to all the participants) to be included into the selection for the “Prize Rai Cinema Channel”, the “Home Video Award” and in different formats (digital terrestrial television, satellite, web tv, websites, social networks, etc.) and/or in DVD without receiving any compensation for the authors and the holders of the rights (except from the money prize of the Prize Rai Cinema Channel). In any case, the author will always be mentioned. Since the 1st January 2024, the participant will have the possibility to request explicitly in writing to the Organization of the Festival to be removed from the festival schedule.

For screenplays
By submitting the screenplay through the online platform, the participant attests, under his own responsibility, that the screenplay meets the requirements of this Regulation, which he has read and accepts in all its parts, guarantees and manlaeves all the organizers any claim and/or dispute advanced by anyone in any way and for any cause and/or reason connected with this Regulation and, in any case, to the script presented, including with respect to rights, restrictions, etc.
The participants irrevocably renounce to any claims and actions, requests or reprisals against organizers and Paradise Pictures srl, the jury and any person who has, in any event, participated in the organization and management of the screenplay contest, raising them from now on with all responsibility.
By sending the script, each participant undertakes to do not give up any law regarding the script sent until the winner is proclaimed.
The participant acknowledges that the submitted material has been carried out in compliance with all applicable legislation, for any applicable title, whether it is of primary and/or secondary rank and/or contained in Self-regulatory Codes and/or in resolutions/measures of the sectoral authorities (by way of example but not exhaustive: copyright and related rights legislation, trademark and/or patents law, legal regulation, rules on correct and legitimate exercise of chronicle rights and/or information and/or criticism/satire, privacy law, image protection law and/or honor/reputation/reputation, TV Code and Minor).

The author will always be mentioned.

11. DECLARATIONS
The participant to “Social World Film Festival” declares and guarantees as follows:

1) to hold the legitimate, full and exclusive title of the work and not to have performed any acts which may have limited the exercise or the unfettered enjoyment of this right;
2) to have obtained full consent from all holders of privacy rights, including copyrights and related rights, image rights and all licences and releases necessary to the work and background music;
3) that the entire work is not defamatory against a person or any other entity and that it does not contain obscene and/or violent material;
4) to waive from now on any compensation due as copyright and/or any other rights related to the rights around the work and related promotional materials and that nothing is due from the Italian Film Factory APS as regards projection and diffusion of the work, in compliance with what declared by the participant (except as provided and explicitly stated for the Rai Cinema Channel Award, Home Video Award, Paradise Pictures Award);
5) not to have performed any act which could limit the enjoyment of the licensed rights under the agreement of these regulations by Italian Film Factory APS;
6) to commit, in the event of a win of one of the official prizes of “Social World Film Festival”, to mention the acknowledgement on the front pages of press publications and/or headline and credits, etc. and in promotional communication in all its forms.
The participant commits to hold harmless and indemnify the Italian Film Factory APS at any moment, from any possible harassment and/or disturbance by third parties pretending and/or presuming to hold any rights on the work, as well as from any responsibility, charge, expense (including legal fees) and detrimental consequence deriving at any moment from the total or partial non-truthfulness of the above declarations and guarantees.

12. PRIVACY
We inform that personal data will be treated in compliance with Legislative Decree n°196/2003 and e UE Regulation n°2016/679 (GDPR).
The proprietor of the treatment of personal data is the President of the Italian Film Factory APS (presidente@socialfestival.com).

13. RESPONSIBILITIES
At the time of the registration, participants declare to exonerate the organisation (Italian Film Factory APS), all the organizers and collaborators from any direct and indirect, objective and subjective responsibilities, for what may happen to themselves or to the cast of the work, to properties of themselves and of their cast and to properties of third parties relating to the event “Social World Film Festival”.

14. DISCLAIMER
At the time of the registration, participants declare they are aware of the fact that during “Social World Film Festival” photographic and journalistic services, radio commercials and TV clips, video recordings, then authorizing the execution of these services, which may also include their person/image or the person/image of their cast, without requesting any compensation.

15. PUBLICITY
The Organisation will publish these regulations on the official website www.socialfestival.com and to promote it by whatever means considered as necessary.

16. GENERAL RULES
These regulations are written in Italian. In case of difficulties of interpretation of any translation of said regulations, the Italian version applies.
Participation in “Social World Film Festival” implies full and unconditional acceptance of this regulation.
The Organisation while guaranteeing the greatest care and custody of the works, will not be liable for any thefts, loss or any damages to artworks, download errors and projection with incorrect formats or loss of media that were immediately before, during or after the festival.
Any costs incurred for selection and/or participation in the "Social World Film Festival", included participation fee, are not refundable in any way.
Due to force majeure, technical-logistical problems or to make improvements or in case of unforeseen exceptions, the Organisation can modify these regulations at any time, including time and dates, providing information on the official website www.socialfestival.com.
Any disputes arising between participants and organizers must be devolved to the unappealable decision of an arbitration panel made of three amicable compositors, who will judge “ex bono et aequo” without any formal procedure, without prejudice of the parties’ rights within 60 days since appointment. Their determination will have effects of an agreement directly reached by the parties. The arbiters are appointed by each of the parties and the third by the first two or, in the absence of an agreement, by the Court of Nola, which will also appoint the arbiter for one of the parties should they not provide for this.

PRESENTAZIONE
La Mostra internazionale del Cinema Sociale “Social World Film Festival” è l’evento cinematografico più emozionante al mondo, ricco di eventi, film, anteprime, attività innovative, giurie di giovani e professionisti, workshop, contest, presentazioni e la partecipazione di migliaia di spettatori.
La tredicesima edizione della Mostra internazionale del Cinema Sociale “Social World Film Festival” si tiene dal 2 al 9 luglio 2023 a Vico Equense (Costiera Sorrentina – Italia) tra attività in presenza e modalità streaming innovative volte come sempre a garantire l’interazione, diretta e in collegamento, degli autori con il pubblico dell’evento.
I vincitori delle sezioni competitive sono premiati durante il Gran Galà di Premiazione previsto durante la tredicesima edizione a Vico Equense (Costiera Sorrentina - Italia).
La partecipazione alla Mostra internazionale del Cinema Sociale “Social World Film Festival” offre, ad alcune opere appositamente selezionate, l’esclusiva possibilità di partecipare agli eventi internazionali che in soli dieci anni hanno coinvolto 28 città in 40 appuntamenti nei cinque continenti tra cui Los Angeles, New York, Rio de Janeiro, Shanghai, Vienna, Washington DC, Seoul, Busan, Berlino, Barcellona, Amsterdam, Cannes, MonteCarlo, Parigi, Istanbul, San Francisco, Tokyo, Sydney, Marsiglia, Palma, Tunisi, Hong Kong, Jakarta.

1. ORGANIZZAZIONE
Il concorso cinematografico della Mostra internazionale del Cinema Sociale “Social World Film Festival” è curato annualmente da Italian Film Factory APS su mandato del Comune di Vico Equense, con l’Adesione del Presidente della Repubblica Italiana, le medaglie del Senato e la Camera dei Deputati, sotto l’Alto Patronato del Parlamento Europeo e grazie alla collaborazione di Rai Cinema Channel, Paradise Pictures, Cinema Edizioni e Università del Cinema.

2. LUOGO E PERIODO
La tredicesima edizione della Mostra internazionale del Cinema Sociale “Social World Film Festival” si tiene a Vico Equense (Costiera Sorrentina – Italia) dal 2 al 9 luglio 2023 tra attività in presenza e modalità streaming innovative volte come sempre a garantire l’interazione, diretta e in collegamento, degli autori con il pubblico dell’evento.
Le date potrebbero variare; le informazioni definitive e complete della tredicesima edizione della Mostra Internazionale del Cinema Sociale sono rese note durante la conferenza stampa internazionale che si tiene a maggio durante il Festival di Cannes o in altro luogo, modalità e periodo preventivamente comunicato.

3. OBIETTIVI
La Mostra internazionale del Cinema Sociale “Social World Film Festival” è un concorso cinematografico, un momento di aggregazione culturale e sociale, luogo di denuncia e riflessione, un’esperienza formativa.

L’ambito d’interesse del concorso è il cinema sociale inteso come mezzo di comunicazione internazionale, confronto per le esigenze della società oltre che contenitore di critica, sviluppo e promozione cinematografica.
Il “Social World Film Festival” si propone come primo ed unico concorso dedicato interamente al cinema sociale nelle sue più ampie interpretazioni.
Il “Social World Film Festival” crede nelle potenzialità del cinema sociale, in virtù della grandissima diffusione dei lungometraggi. documentari e cortometraggi che dedicano il proprio messaggio ad una tematica sociale che porti lo spettatore e l’opinione pubblica alla riflessione.

4. SELEZIONI
La Mostra internazionale del Cinema Sociale “Social World Film Festival” si compone di dodici sezioni denominate “Selezioni”.

1) Grande Schermo. Sezione non competitiva di opere cinematografiche di lungometraggio, cortometraggio e documentario di grande attualità sociale e prestigiose produzioni che hanno partecipato ad importanti festival internazionali o che hanno ricevuto particolari riconoscimenti da critica e pubblico.

2) Concorso Internazionale. Sezione competitiva suddivisa in tre categorie (lungometraggi, cortometraggi e documentari) di opere cinematografiche a tematica sociale presentante in anteprima (assoluta, internazionale, nazionale e/o regionale) o invitate a partecipare dalla Direzione Artistica. Apposite giurie composte da personalità del mondo del cinema e del sociale unite a rappresentanti del pubblico e dei giovani partecipanti alle attività del festival attribuiscono i premi previsti.

3) Focus, occhio al Sud. Sezione competitiva suddivisa in due categorie (lungometraggi/documentari e cortometraggi) di opere cinematografiche a tematica sociale realizzate per almeno il 70% della metratura finale nelle regioni del Mezzogiorno d’Italia (Abruzzo, Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Puglia, Sardegna, Sicilia) ovvero girate da un regista nato in dette regioni. Apposite giurie composte da personalità del mondo del cinema e del giornalismo unite a rappresentanti del pubblico e dei giovani partecipanti alle attività del festival attribuiscono i premi previsti.

4) Smile, sociale con sorriso. Sezione competitiva di opere cinematografiche di cortometraggio di attualità sociale ma trattate con un marcato senso dell’umorismo. Un’apposita giuria di studenti, 20.000 ragazzi nelle precedenti edizioni, attribuisce i premi previsti.
Le proiezioni e le attività di questa sezione potranno tenersi in un’apposita appendice del festival nell’anno scolastico 2023/2024.

5) School, cinema a scuola. Sezione non competitiva di opere cinematografiche di cortometraggio di attualità sociale realizzate da studenti di scuole di cinema o scuole di qualsiasi ordine e grado.
Le proiezioni e le attività di questa sezione potranno tenersi in un’apposita appendice del festival nell’anno scolastico 2023/2024.

6) La Notte del Cinema. Sezione non competitiva volta a dare spazio e visibilità ad opere cinematografiche di cortometraggio e documentario di attualità sociale che non riescono ad avere una distribuzione nelle sale, televisioni e nei circuiti festivalieri tradizionali.
Le proiezioni si tengono in spazi e/o orari non tradizionali.

7) La Città del Cortometraggio. Sezione competitiva volta a dare spazio e visibilità ad opere cinematografiche di cortometraggio di attualità sociale realizzate da giovani registi italiani under 40.
Le opere sono pubblicate in chiaro sul sito di Rai Cinema e/o di un partner della kermesse.

8) Nuovi linguaggi. Sezione non competitiva di opere cinematografiche, televisive e per il web di qualsiasi genere e durata come video sperimentali, cinema 3D/4D, in verticale con proporzioni 9:16, realizzate con qualsiasi tipologia di cellulare, serie tv e webserie, spot, video musicali e opere realizzate con nuove tecniche e linguaggi.

9) Screen-play. Sezione competitiva di sceneggiature originali ed inedite per opere cinematografiche di lungometraggio, cortometraggio e documentario. Un’apposita giuria composta da personalità del mondo del cinema attribuisce i premi previsti.

10) Vision VR. Sezione non competitiva di opere cinematografiche internazionali di cortometraggio e documentario realizzate in realtà virtuale.

11) Fuori Concorso. Sezione non competitiva di opere cinematografiche di lungometraggio, cortometraggio e documentario di grande attualità sociale che non rientrano nelle altre selezioni ma meritano di partecipare al “Social World Film Festival”.

12) Mercato. Sezione autonoma al festival, non competitiva, volta a dare visibilità in un apposito spazio dedicato alla diffusione e commercializzazione di opere cinematografiche. Le opere sono visionabili nell’area on-demand del “Mercato Europeo del Cinema Giovane e Indipendente”, secondo un suo apposito regolamento, che si tiene in alcune giornate del “Social World Film Festival”.

Tutte le opere in concorso e fuori concorso della tredicesima edizione della Mostra internazionale del Cinema Sociale “Social World Film Festival” sono presentante sia in presenza a Vico Equense che on-demand sull’apposito portale proteggo www.socialfestival.com/live (salvo eventuali restrizioni da parte delle autorità locali, nazionali e/o internazionali).

5. REQUISITI
Possono partecipare alle Selezioni della Mostra internazionale del Cinema Sociale “Social World Film Festival” opere cinematografiche, televisive e per il web che trattano di una o più tematiche di grande interesse per la società.
Le opere presentante devono essere realizzate in lingua italiana e possibilmente sottotitolate in lingua inglese ovvero essere realizzate in lingua inglese ovvero essere realizzate in lingua terza ma sottotitolate in lingua inglese.
Lo stesso regista/autore può presentare alla selezione della Mostra internazionale del Cinema Sociale “Social World Film Festival” fino a cinque differenti opere.

La stessa società di produzione e/o distribuzione non ha limiti per numero di opere presentate alla selezione della Mostra internazionale del Cinema Sociale “Social World Film Festival”.

6. SELEZIONE E PARTECIPAZIONE
Tra le opere giunte entro e secondo i termini stabiliti dal presente regolamento, la Direzione Artistica del “Social World Film Festival” selezionerà a proprio insindacabile giudizio i finalisti di ciascuna selezione che saranno proiettati in appositi eventi organizzati durante la tredicesima edizione della Mostra internazionale del Cinema Sociale “Social World Film Festival” o resi disponibili online sul proprio portale o sul sito.

L’opera selezionata, con apposita comunicazione, sarà direttamente inserita in programma senza necessità di ulteriore accettazione e non potrà più essere ritirata. Nel caso in cui la produzione (o il detentore dei diritti dell’opera) necessiti del ritiro dell’opera dal programma del festival sarà obbligata a corrispondere una penale di euro 1.000,00 (mille/00) a titolo di risarcimento nei confronti dell’Organizzazione del festival.

Non sarà corrisposto alcun compenso (fee) per la proiezione delle opere inserite nelle selezioni del “Social World Film Festival”.
Tutte le spese di spedizione (compresi costi doganali e altre spese) sono a carico del partecipante (andata e ritorno), salvo diverso accordo con la Direzione Artistica.

Il regista o produttore/distributore e i protagonisti delle opere selezionate, nella fattispecie coloro i quali sono candidati ad un determinato premio, saranno invitati ad intervenire per un dibattito con i giurati, gli spettatori e i giornalisti presenti in sala al termine di ogni proiezione o tramite collegamento streaming ovvero video-intervista/intervento registrato.
L’ordine, il calendario e gli orari di proiezione saranno decisi insindacabilmente dalla Direzione Artistica del “Social World Film Festival”.

In caso di iscrizione delle opere a cura di una società di distribuzione la stessa, qualora fossero selezionate una o più opere rappresentante, dovrà comunicare i contatti diretti (anche solo email) dell’autore/regista/produttore e/o di artisti candidati a uno o più premi. L’Organizzazione comunicherà direttamente con gli autori/produttori/artisti mettendo sempre a conoscenza (in copia) la società di distribuzione.

Per la particolarità storica e architettonica delle location che ospitano il festival, non è sempre possibile proiettare le opere selezionate in DCP. Per questo motivo, agli autori o alle distribuzioni delle opere selezionate, saranno richiesti file proiettabili, Blu-ray Disc o DVD, oltre il formato DCP per le sale che ne prevedono la possibilità, che dovranno essere liberi da qualunque sovrascritta o retinato. Qualora le copie per la proiezione non dovessero pervenire, saranno utilizzati i DVD inviati per la selezione o i file scaricati da Vimeo o altre piattaforme. Eventuali casi particolari saranno valutati ad insindacabile giudizio della Direzione Artistica del “Social World Film Festival”.

7. SCADENZE
La compilazione del form elettronico per la partecipazione al “Social World Film Festival”, esclusivamente tramite piattaforme online con scadenze periodiche intermedie e scadenza finale il 10 maggio 2023.
La lista delle opere finaliste selezionate è resa nota sul sito www.socialfestival.com subito dopo la conferenza stampa italiana di lancio del “Social World Film Festival” che si tiene a Napoli e a Roma nel periodo giugno/luglio 2023 o in altro luogo, modalità e periodo preventivamente comunicato.

8. GIURIE PREMI
Tutti i premi sono attribuiti ad insindacabile ed inappellabile giudizio delle relative giurie.

a) Tutte le selezioni. Tutte le opere di cortometraggio delle selezioni competitive e non competitive del “Social World Film Festival”, ivi compresa la selezione Mercato, concorrono all’attribuzione del “Premio Rai Cinema Channel” del valore di 1.000,00 euro conferito da una speciale giuria di Rai Cinema al cortometraggio sociale che ben si presti ad essere diffuso sui canali web e che consiste in un contratto di acquisto dei diritti per la messa in onda sul web e tv del cortometraggio, da parte di Rai Cinema e godrà della visibilità su www.raicinemachannel.it e sui suoi siti partner.
Il Premio Rai Cinema Channel è previsto solo se esplicitamente autorizzato in una apposita scheda inviata a tutti gli iscritti.

b) Concorso Internazionale. La “Giuria di Qualità - lungometraggi”, composta da esponenti della cultura cinematografica nazionale ed internazionale, valuta le opere in concorso alla categoria lungometraggi e conferisce il “Golden Spike Award for Best Feature Film”. La “Giuria Critica”, composta da esponenti di giornali, televisioni e radio nazionali, valuta le opere in concorso alla categoria documentari e conferisce il “Golden Spike Award for Best Documentary”. La “Giuria di Qualità - cortometraggi”, composta da esponenti della cultura cinematografica nazionale ed internazionale, valuta le opere in concorso alla categoria cortometraggi e conferisce il “Golden Spike Award for Best Short Film”. La “Giuria Giovani”, composta da giovani provenienti da tutte le regioni della Repubblica italiana, valuta le opere in concorso alla categoria lungometraggi e conferisce i premi “Golden Spike Award for Best Director”, “Golden Spike Award for Best Actor”, “Golden Spike Award for Best Actress”, “Golden Spike Award for Best Screenplay”, “Golden Spike Award for Best Editing”, “Golden Spike Award for Best Soundtrack”. La “Giuria Ragazzi”, composta da giovani di Vico Equense e dei comuni limitrofi, valuta le opere in concorso alla categoria cortometraggi e conferisce i premi “Golden Spike Award for Best Director”, “Golden Spike Award for Best Actor”, “Golden Spike Award for Best Actress”, “Golden Spike Award for Best Screenplay”, “Golden Spike Award for Best Editing”, “Golden Spike Award for Best Soundtrack”.
Eventuali ulteriori premi in denaro, servizi e/o beni saranno comunicati ai partecipanti prima dell'inizio del festival.

c) Focus, occhio al Sud. La “Giuria di Qualità Focus – lungometraggi e cortometraggi”, composta da esponenti della cultura cinematografica nazionale ed internazionale e/o da giornalisti, valuta le opere in concorso e conferisce il “Golden Spike Award for Best Feature Film/Short Film”. La “Giuria Focus”, composta da cittadini appassionati di cinema e studenti di scuole di cinema, valuta le opere in concorso alla categoria lungometraggi e cortometraggi conferendo il “Premio come miglior Lungometraggio della Selezione Focus” e il “Premio come miglior Cortometraggio della Selezione Focus”.
Eventuali ulteriori premi in denaro, servizi e/o beni saranno comunicati ai partecipanti prima dell'inizio del festival.

d) Smile, sociale con sorriso. La “Giuria Studenti”, composta da studenti delle scuole secondarie della Regione Campania, valuta le opere in concorso e conferisce il “Premio come miglior Cortometraggio della Selezione Smile”.
Eventuali ulteriori premi in denaro, servizi e/o beni saranno comunicati ai partecipanti prima dell'inizio del festival.

e) Screen-play. Le sceneggiature di lungometraggi, documentari e cortometraggi inviate concorrono all’attribuzione del “Premio Paradise Pictures” conferito da una apposita giuria. Il Premio consiste nella produzione di un’opera cinematografica basata sulla sceneggiatura inviata. Al vincitore sarà riconosciuto un premio in denaro di 1.000 euro che consiste in un contratto di acquisto dei diritti della sceneggiatura.
Il Premio Paradise Pictures è conferito esclusivamente se l’opera vincitrice supera il punteggio di 60/100 attribuito dall’apposita giuria.

Eventuali altri premi e/o riconoscimenti sono comunicati prima dell’inizio del Festival.

9. OSPITALITA'
Per ogni opera selezionata al “Concorso Internazionale” del “Social World Film Festival” sarà offerta ospitalità (vitto e alloggio secondo programma, una sola camera matrimoniale per opera) in una delle splendide strutture ricettive della città di Vico Equense (Costiera Sorrentina – Italia) per il regista ovvero il produttore/distributore ed eventualmente i candidati ad uno dei premi ufficiali dell’opera selezionata.
I partecipanti provenienti dall’Italia saranno ospitati per una notte, quelli provenienti dall’Unione Europea per due notti mentre quelli provenienti dal resto del Mondo saranno ospitati per tre notti.
Le date per l’ospitalità dipendono dal giorno e orario di proiezione dell’opera.

Non è prevista ospitalità per le altre selezioni del “Social World Film Festival” e qualora non sia possibile ospitare i partecipanti a seguito di provvedimenti delle autorità locali, regionali, nazionali e/o internazionali o su disposizione dell’Organizzazione del festival a tutela della salute pubblica e degli spettatori.

Eventuali casi particolari saranno valutati ad insindacabile giudizio della Direzione Artistica del “Social World Film Festival”.

10. DIRITTI
Per le opere cinematografiche, televisive e per il web
Con la partecipazione al “Social World Film Festival”, il partecipante concede in licenza non esclusiva e a titolo totalmente gratuito a Italian Film Factory APS il diritto di proiettare in pubblico l’opera integrale sia in presenza che online (su sito sicuro, previa registrazione e per un limitato numero di giorni non superiore alla durata del Festival) durante il “Social World Film Festival”, durante tutte le manifestazioni annesse e connesse allo stesso e durante altri eventi e manifestazioni (nazionali e/o internazionali) organizzate e/o in collaborazione con Italian Film Factory APS, senza ricevere alcun compenso. Con la partecipazione al “Social World Film Festival”, il partecipante concede a Italian Film Factory APS il diritto di inserire all’interno dell’opera sottotitoli per un’eventuale traduzione e di utilizzare spezzoni ed estratti al fine di pubblicizzare il “Social World Film Festival”, le manifestazioni annesse e connesse allo stesso e altri eventi e manifestazioni (nazionali e/o internazionali) organizzate e/o in collaborazione con l’Italian Film Factory APS, senza ricevere alcun compenso. Inoltre, con la partecipazione al “Social World Film Festival”, il partecipante concede in licenza non esclusiva all’ Italian Film Factory APS il diritto di pubblicare il materiale promozionale dell’opera (a titolo esemplificativo e non esaustivo sinossi, castlist, foto, trailer) sul proprio sito www.socialfestival.com e su altri siti, riviste, DVD realizzati in collaborazione con all’Italian Film Factory APS, senza ricevere alcun compenso.
L’Italian Film Factory APS potrà valutare l'opera (se esplicitamente autorizzato in una apposita scheda inviata a tutti gli iscritti) per essere proposto ed inserito per la selezione del “Premio Rai Cinema Channel”, del “Premio Home Video” e in diversi format (televisioni del digitale terrestre, televisioni satellitari, web tv, siti internet, social network ecc.) e/o in DVD, senza alcun compenso economico per gli autori e detentori dei diritti (salvo il premio economico di Rai Cinema Channel per il Premio Rai Cinema Channel). L'autore in ogni caso sarà sempre citato. A partire dal 1° gennaio 2024, il partecipante ha la facoltà di richiedere esplicitamente per iscritto all'Organizzazione del festival la rimozione dell'opera dalla programmazione.

Per le sceneggiature
Con l’invio della sceneggiatura tramite la piattaforma online, il partecipante attesta, sotto la propria responsabilità, che la sceneggiatura soddisfa i requisiti previsti nel presente Regolamento, di cui ha preso visione e che accetta in ogni sua parte, garantisce e manleva tutti gli organizzatori da qualsiasi pretesa e/o contestazione avanzata da chicchessia a qualsiasi titolo e per qualsiasi causa e/o ragione connessa al presente Regolamento e, comunque, alla sceneggiatura presentata, anche con riferimento a titolarità di diritti, limitazioni, ecc.
I partecipanti rinunciano irrevocabilmente ad ogni pretesa e ad ogni azione, richiesta o rivalsa nei confronti degli organizzatori e della società Paradise Pictures srl, della giuria e di tutte le persone che a qualsiasi titolo abbiano partecipato all’organizzazione e alla gestione del bando per le sceneggiature, sollevandoli sin da ora da ogni responsabilità.
Con l’invio della sceneggiatura, ciascun partecipante si impegna a non cedere qualsivoglia diritto relativo alla sceneggiatura inviata sino alla proclamazione del vincitore.
Il partecipante attesta che il materiale inviato è stato realizzato nel rispetto di tutta la normativa, a qualsiasi titolo applicabile, sia essa di rango primario e/o secondario e/o contenuta in Codici di autoregolamentazione e/o in delibere/provvedimenti delle autorità di settore (a titolo esemplificativo ma non esaustivo: normativa in materia di tutela del diritto d’autore e diritti connessi, normativa in materia di tutela di marchi e/o brevetti, normativa giuslavoristica, normativa in materia di corretto e legittimo esercizio del diritto di cronaca e/o informazione e/o di critica/satira, normativa in materia di tutela della privacy, normativa in materia di tutela del diritto di immagine e/o dell’onore/decoro/reputazione, Codice TV e Minori).

L'autore in ogni caso sarà sempre citato.

11. DICHIARAZIONI
Il partecipante al “Social World Film Festival” dichiara e garantisce quanto segue:

1) di avere la legittima, piena ed esclusiva titolarità dell’opera e di non aver compiuto alcun atto che possa limitarne l’esercizio o il pacifico godimento;
2) di aver ottenuto tutti i consensi di ogni possibile titolare di diritti di privativa, ivi inclusi diritti d’autore e diritti connessi, diritti d’immagine, nonché tutte le licenze e le liberatorie necessarie relativamente all’opera e la relativa musica di sottofondo;
3) che l’opera nella sua interezza non sia diffamatoria nei confronti di qualsiasi persona o entità e non contenga materiale osceno e/o violento;
4) di rinunciare sin d’ora a qualsiasi compenso dovuto a titolo di diritto d’autore e/o diritto connesso al diritto d’autore dell’opera e dei materiali promozionali annessi e di non avere nulla a pretendere da parte dell’Italian Film Factory APS in relazione alla proiezione e diffusione dell’opera secondo le volontà dichiarate dal partecipante (salvo quanto previsto ed esplicitato per il Premio Rai Cinema Channel, Premio Home Video, Premio Paradise Pictures);
5) di non aver compiuto alcun atto che possa limitare il godimento dei diritti concessi in licenza con l’adesione al presente regolamento all’ Italian Film Factory APS;
6) di impegnarsi, in caso di vincita di uno dei premi ufficiali del “Social Word Film Festival”, a menzionare l’attribuzione del riconoscimento ricevuto su frontespizi delle pubblicazioni stampa e/o titoli di testa o coda, ecc. ed in tutte le forme di lancio pubblicitario.
Il partecipante si obbliga a manlevare e tenere indenne l’Italian Film Factory APS, in qualsiasi momento, da ogni e qualunque eventuale molestia e/o turbativa da parte di terzi che pretendano e/o assumano di essere titolari dell’opera, nonché da qualsiasi responsabilità, onere, spesa (ivi incluse le spese legali) e conseguenza dannosa derivanti in qualsiasi momento dalla non veridicità totale o parziale delle dichiarazioni e garanzie di cui sopra.

12. PRIVACY
Si informa che i dati personali comunicati saranno trattati ai sensi del D.lgs. n°196/2003 e del Regolamento UE n°2016/679 (GDPR).
Il titolare del trattamento dei dati è il presidente dell’Italian Film Factory APS (presidente@socialfestival.com).

13. RESPONSABILITA’
I partecipanti all’atto stesso della propria iscrizione dichiarano di sollevare l’organizzazione (l’Italian Film Factory APS) tutti gli organizzatori e collaboratori da ogni responsabilità diretta e indiretta, oggettiva e soggettiva, per quanto possa accadere a se stessi e al proprio cast, alle proprie cose e alle cose del proprio cast, a terzi e a cose di terzi in dipendenza all’evento “Social World Film Festival” tutto.

14. LIBERATORIA
I partecipanti all’atto stesso della propria iscrizione dichiarano di essere a conoscenza che durante il “Social World Film Festival” saranno realizzati servizi fotografici e giornalistici, filmati radio-televisivi, videoregistrazioni e pertanto autorizzano l’effettuazione dei suddetti servizi, che potranno riguardare anche la propria persona/immagine o la persona/immagine del proprio cast, senza richiedere alcuna forma di rimborso.

15. PUBBLICITA’
L’Organizzazione provvederà a pubblicare il presente regolamento sul sito ufficiale www.socialfestival.com ed a pubblicizzarlo con ogni mezzo ritenga opportuno.

16. NORME GENERALI
Il presente regolamento è redatto in italiano. In caso di problemi interpretativi per eventuali traduzioni, fa fede la versione italiana.
La partecipazione al “Social World Film Festival” implica l’accettazione integrale ed incondizionata del presente regolamento.
L'Organizzazione pur impegnandosi rigorosamente nella cura e custodia delle opere pervenute, non si assume alcuna responsabilità per eventuali furti, danneggiamenti, scambio di file, errori di download e messa in proiezione con formati errati o smarrimenti dei supporti che queste dovessero subire prima, durante o dopo il festival.
Qualsiasi eventuale costo sostenuto per la selezione e/o partecipazione al “Social World Film Festival”, ivi incluse le fee di iscrizione, non potrà essere in alcun modo restituito.
Per cause di forza maggiore, per problemi tecnico-organizzativi o per apportare migliorie o in caso di eccezioni non previste, l’Organizzazione potrà modificare in qualsiasi momento il presente regolamento, ivi compreso le date e i tempi, dandone informazione sul sito ufficiale www.socialfestival.com
Qualsiasi controversia dovesse sorgere tra i partecipanti e gli organizzatori deve essere devoluta alla determinazione inappellabile di un collegio arbitrale formato da tre arbitri amichevoli compositori, i quali giudicheranno “ex bono et aequo” senza formalità di procedura, fatto salvo il contraddittorio delle parti, entro 60 giorni dalla nomina. La loro determinazione avrà effetto di accordo direttamente raggiunto tra le parti. Gli arbitri sono nominati uno da ciascuna delle parti ed il terzo dai primi due o in difetto di accordo, dal presidente del Tribunale di Nola, il quale nominerà anche l’arbitro per la parte che non vi abbia provveduto.
