Real Stories by Real People : Real Films Fest

We believe that visionary filmmakers like you can transform Popularium stories into short films that will not only be entertaining but will be at the forefront of changing our cultural landscape.

Popularium is providing 10 independent filmmakers with a short film grant of $3,000 each to bring Popularium’s real stories by real people to the big screen. Your short films will live online at Popularium.com and will be featured at the Real Films Film Fest in 2018.

Rules & Terms

To apply:
- Browse the Popularium categories and find a story that resonates with you.
- Record a personal video message (3-6 min) of you talking directly into the camera about why this particular story speaks to you and how you would bring it to life.
- Submit a treatment or a script along with your video message.
- Share a brief bio, and examples of your past short film work.
