I am happy to be in official selection. However the communication was very bad. I tried to reach out so they list my film with an image or trailer. I emailed the festival 3 times very politeley, but no response. It is obvious the website is visited and people won't check out a film without an image or trailer these days. It is very bad to charge admission fee and not replying to someone officially selected. Shame as the festival seems good otherwise. They have no phone number or twitter to get in touch!

    Response from festival:

In the final days before the actual event things can get hectic. When we updated our website and facebook page with the official selection listing we've worked with want was available on your FilmFreeway page. There were no visuals, no trailers. We had about 100 films, so unfortunately we couldn't find the time to get back to you on that. Even now, it's still quiet busy as we're making deals with other festivals to offer the filmmakers waivers and perhaps invites.

First, let me say that I am not simply writing this review in response to have been selected to receive the Best Experimental Short award. And because I was unable to attend the screenings or events, I cannot testify to the quality of hospitality or networking opportunities. However, I can say that I was impressed with the professionalism I experienced with this organization. I also understand that because my work often slips into a crack somewhere between arthouse and experimental, it often does not see as much attention as it could. I therefore commend NEw York Film Week for being able to see the validity and value of unorthodox film styles and voices. I also commend NYFW for the decision to partner with two other festivals in order to be able to be able to screen films for a live audience in New York City and exposing films to an almost unreachable audience.

Wasn't able to attend, so I cannot review certain aspects. Good communication. Very honoured to have received the award for Best 60 Seconds Film at the New York Film Week. Thanks, keep up the good work!
