This project involves bringing students and teachers from different countries to participate with their films . Part of the program are even lectures and workshops of the movie professionals from different countries about film issues. We think that is very important for a student to confront with other students from around the world, so to know different cultures, different thoughts and to analyse the way their colleges work. We hope that First Step Fest will be a good chance young filmmakers in Albania to get inspiration and continue their dream.

Unfortunately I didn't have the opportunity to visit the festival but I followed the event through social media and it looked like a very nice event and it gave my film The Bus Trip a lot of exposure via social media.

It was very exciting to visit First Step Film Fest in Tirana - although there were not many international filmmakers, I found it very refreshing to discover this part of the Balkans which I probably wouldn't do any time soon. Festival was held in the most original open-air venue in front of gallery in so called "Cloud" - a structure built by a Japanese architect. It was an amazing screening venue - one of the best one I experienced in my life!
The festival team was very friendly and helpful. I recommend everyone to visit this small but very friendly student film festival!
