Launched in 2015 by CMMA (Community MultiMedia Academy) in collaboration with HAHS (Hayward Area Historical Society) and BADA (Bay Area Digital Arts), the Hayward Film Festival designs an exciting live atmosphere for local youth storytellers. We give students a platform to introduce themselves and further their experience to the world of independent filmmaking.

We consider and award the best-of in following categories: Animation, Documentary, Experimental, Narrative, and PSA (Public Service Announcement).
