MISSION & OBJECTIVE
VISION OF THE BRECK FILM FEST:
To Inspire, Educate and Entertain the Community and its Visitors through the Art of Film-Making.

MISSION OF THE BRECK FILM FEST:
The Breckenridge Film Festival presents an annual celebration of independent film for the community, visitors and filmmakers the third weekend of September through four days of diverse film experiences in an authentic mountain environment. Film-lovers gather for unprecedented access to independent films, special screenings and premieres exclusive to Breckenridge - and the film-makers behind them!

The festival occurs as the leaves turn brilliant shades during the best time of the year in Summit County. The ever popular Adventure Reel returns along with Animation.

The Breckenridge Film Festival provides an opportunity for filmmakers in many genres to express themselves and interact with audiences in a laid back casual atmosphere and to mingle with and make contacts with industry people. Films are presented alongside educational workshops and events. Writers, directors, producers and performing artists attend to discuss their work with audiences in informal sessions following film screenings, at receptions and film forums. We welcome and appreciate the creative talents of all the filmmakers we've met over the years and look forward to meeting more. Breck Film Fest is "the filmmaker's film festival."

WE OFFER LODGING TO ATTENDING FILMMAKERS ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVE LIMITED BASIS ONCE FILMS ARE SELECTED AND ATTENDANCE IS CONFIRMED. SELECTED FILMMAKERS WILL RECEIVE NOTIFICATION OF LODGING AVAILABILITY.

PLEASE NOTE: We invite distributors and media representatives to join us at the festival.

The Breckenridge Film Festivals is one of the most professional and organized film festivals I have ever attended. The programming was outstanding and location amazing. My liaison and the BFF staff were incredible including my lovely accommodations, a sound/color check and the festival hosted some excellent parties! it was a fabulous weekend!

This was a fantastic festival in a beautiful location. I had a short drama in here, but I particularly enjoyed the music and adventure docs. We were assigned a personal liaison who was just amazing at making us feel at home. Great parties and a fantastic local brewery as a sponsor. We'll be be back!!

It was my first film festival - and it surpassed all my expectations! I was really impressed by the wonderful volunteers and staff that we encountered at Breck, as well as the many local film fans that I spoke to. The quality of the program of films they screened was top-notch! It was truly an honor to have my film - Desperate Manny - included among them! Also the parties and forums were first-rate, and of course the town itself is truly an awesome place to see! This is a great film festival that actually programs from the submissions they receive, and then provides an excellent experience for the filmmakers and audiences that attend! I hope to be fortunate enough to attend Breckenridge again with my next film!

This is a festival where you are not only surrounded by talented filmmakers and interesting films, but by natural beauty that's restorative for the creative soul. The mountain views are just amazing. We had a number of people on our team come to town, including our well-known actor Rex Lee. When bringing one of our stars to a festival, I'm always a bit nervous, "Will they enjoy it? Are they happy?" Well, Rex had a fantastic time here and the Breck Film Fest folks took great care of him and of us. The events and screenings were well-attended and it appears that many of the locals are very supportive of the festival. The festival staff was great, too, and we ended up getting great coverage of our film while we were in town. Highly recommended.

Love this festival. It has a fantastic reputation and it's well deserved. Industry insiders and distributors really respect this festival. Very strong program of films. Warm and friendly staff and volunteers. Wonderful location. Really fun parties and social gatherings to socialize with other filmmakers. They also assist with lodging expenses. It's been going for 36 years for good reason. One of my best festival experiences by far. I hope to be lucky enough to go back again!
