The Adirondack Film Festival is produced by the Adirondack Theatre Festival and places a particular emphasis on filmmakers who also work in theatre, as well as filmmakers with ties to the Adirondack region. The festival features panel discussions, an art gallery filled with artwork inspired by the films, special events, and a selection of indie and studio feature length and short films. Surrounded by restaurants, mountains, parks, and shopping, all screening locations are in walking distance in the middle of the charming city of Glens Falls, NY.

The film festival is operated by the Adirondack Theatre Festival – a nationally renowned company in its 29th year of operation dedicated to developing new plays and musicals. The film festival presents a wide range of genres but one of its unique interests is on films that have a connection to the theatre community.

The Adirondack Film Festival is the only film festival produced by a professional theatre company. In support of Adirondack Theatre Company's mission, the Adirondack Film Festival spotlights artists working in both film and theatre, as well as filmmakers from the Southern Adirondack region and filmmakers of Native and Indigenous descent. Adirondack Film Festival is located in downtown Glens Falls New York, on unceded land of the Mohawk of the Haudenosaunee and Mohican peoples.
