Each submission will be carefully considered. TOXFF board of directors will review each submission and pre-select the ones that will enter the competition. This means that YES, all films submitted will be listed on our website, but ONLY A SELECTION (The Official Selection) will apply for the Awards. The Official Selection list will be revealed on this website and will be communicated via email to the filmmakers, who will also receive the "TOXFF Official Selection" digital sticker.
Any work (short films and features) produced in the past 18 months from your submission date is eligible. All non-English language films must be subtitled in English. We also accept submissions that have premiered elsewhere and that may have distribution agreements already in place. We do NOT accept works in progress or rough-cuts.
We consider horror, fantasy, science fiction, action, thriller, experimental and exploitation films. Documentaries, comedies, animation and works of non-fiction related to these genres ARE acceptable for submission.
Short Films must be less than 40 minutes to qualify. Feature Films must be more than 60 minutes to qualify. Student films from Colleges, Universities and Film Schools worldwide are also invited to submit.
Rating and content is ok but NO hard core XXX adult material.
Films that contain any animal cruelty and/or depictions of actual animal torture or death will NOT be accepted.
NO we do not accept fan films.
All films must be submitted online only through a secure URL link. We do NOT accept any physical (DVD, Blu-Ray, hard disk, etc.) submission. DON'T FORGET to include your film poster if you also want to compete for the BEST POSTER ART AWARD.
TOXFF only accepts entries via the FilmFreeway.com platform. FilmFreeway offers free HD online screeners, Vimeo and YouTube integration, and more.
*** Once submitted, please remember this is the only information we have to review your film, so keep in mind that if you make any changes to the access of your film URL link or (if private video) to the password you provided you must inform TOXFF of these changes or you may be disqualified from consideration. The primary contact listed in your application will receive all communications from us, so be sure to list someone who will be responsible and responsive.

3. This film or video is not subject to any litigation nor is threatened by any litigation and I am authorized to submit this film to the festival.
4. I hold TOXFF, the Toxic Film Festival and it's promotion team harmless from any claims of liability anything that might occur during the course of the festival.
5. I certify that I have full rights to the use of the music, print, images and everything contained in the film and/or promotional materials of the submitted film.
6. I give permission for TOXFF, the Toxic Film Festival to use stills, titles, copy, and/or information from the short for promotional purposes.
