Sleeping Giants Gala – Sunday 2nd July 2017

Sleeping Giants Film Festival closes with this special gala event.

Firstly, we will screening the multi award winning short film "The Pigman" made by local film maker Rik Gordon.

The Pigman is a film about an unfortunate half man, half pig creature that lives high up in the Mourne Mountains, Co. Down, N. Ireland

Rik will be joining us for a Q&A after his film. So here is an opportunity to pick the brains of successful filmmaker!

As the proud owner of the Dingle Audience Choice Award we've asked Rik to announce the winners of our International Short and Homegrown Short Film competitions as voted for by our audiences. We will also be screening the two winning films.

We're also laying on a bit of spread so that you get a chance to talk with film makers and other festival goers. Will then be finishing the event with a live band, downstairs in the bar of The Lough & Quay.

Awards & Prizes

The winning films will receive an award and will be screened ahead of a feature presentation with the Newcastle Community Cinema, Co. Down, within the six months proceeding the festival.
