We have a very short attention span so we LOVE short films!

If you have an animation, narrative or documentary short under 30 minutes then we are looking for you.

The films are screened to a live audience that is just as hungry for your awesome filmmaking-ness and you are to make the films in the first place.

The Short and Sweet Film Festival will take place at the Geary Events Center in January just days before the Sundance Film Festival.

All winners receive a free trophy for each of the winning categories.

We're always at your disposal. If you need additional assistance or have any questions, concerns, or suggestions, please contact our customer service (shortandsweetfilmfestival@gmail.com ).

Refund Policy: Because entries will have been processed and entered into the system, NO refunds will be granted.

Not sure what happened, but I never heard anything from this festival after I sent through my file. Don't even know if it played.

    Response from festival:

Hi Nigel. We sent 2 emails to you: Dec 13 and a follow up email when we didn’t hear from you on December 28th. Your film did play at the festival as displayed on our website and was well received. It is unfortunate you did not receive any of our emails or notifications. Here is the urls to the schedule posted on our website. https://2022ss.eventive.org/schedule/61b65c1e6cca830030702643

This festival definitely fits its name, it is short and sweet! A small crowd of supportive creative film makers. And the festival director, Warren, came with enough positive energy to fill the entire auditorium. Wish it could attract more audience attendance, but it was worth the drive out to Price, Utah.

Short and Sweet Festival had so many personal touches and did a great job getting to know their filmmakers even with the festival being virtual this year. Our short “Engaged to be Engaged” received great exposure through the filmmaker interviews, film reviews and winning Best Short Film with a budget under $5000. Can’t wait to come to Utah and attend the festival next year in person.

  • Thank you very much for having “Oregon’s Water Colors” participate in Short & Sweet Festival, what a thrill! As an artist all I can think is I’m so happy when somebody will see the film and experience the natural beauty of Oregon. Thank you for honoring our film as a selection. The part where people might get a few minute quarantine break and watch some of Oregon's Nature & Steelhead Fishing in SoCal & beyond is pretty cool for this artist. We are simply #VeryGrateful. Special Thanks for the effort Warren made to make the Awards Ceremony happen (That was Fun!) And Film in Utah interview was first class & fun too! Grateful for a very nice film review too. We can’t wait to come “sign the wall” in 2022! Thanks again, Stay safe, be safe, with thanks and gratitude, John.
