“Near neighbours should be friends not mysteries! Short stories are a great way to share stories and build understanding. Tell us your stories”

Though we are close neighbours, Australians and Indonesians know little about each other. But we also know that Australians and Indonesians want to get to know each other better and that we share a great sense of humour and passion for creativity.
This competition gives you the opportunity to share your stories away from the stereotypes, headlines and political drama!

This festival is unique. There is no other festival that brings Australian and Indonesian filmmakers together to share their work and stories in the same forum. Our theme for 2017 is WATER.

Filmmakers are invited to create a short film (up to 10 minutes) in either documentary, fiction or animation categories. Films should have been made in the last 12 months but do not need to be original, and may have been previously entered in other competitions. Entries can be submitted for the Open or Youth (filmmakers aged 13-18 years) categories.

Excellent first in person festival experience as a category winner. Got to attend a screening of all the winners films, hear a talk from Andrew Mason and even got up on stage to discuss my short.

Conveniently located to me at ACMI Melbourne. Overall a very positive and memorable experience.

Reelozind has given us a tremendous experience, which is to see our work getting screened in so many places in Indonesia and also abroad, Australia. Our greatest excitement is the fact that The Eagles’ Eyes reaches a broad numbers of audience through Reelozind tour. It encourages us to speak up louder with our film. We doubted before, but we have seen that it is possible. We wish such opportunity will come again for our next projects and to even broader scope!
