On Weds, June 5th, 2024, we will be holding our 9th annual sketch comedy film festival, which will feature shorts by comedians and funny filmmakers from Philadelphia and beyond.
During the pandemic, we switched over to a virtual event for the Film Festival portion of Philly Sketchfest (with the live comedy festival now being in it's 15th year), which turned out to be an incredible success! We were honored to have such a wide array of hilarious films from both local and out-of-town comedians and filmmakers, and this year, we're excited to finally be returning the film festival back to a live, in-person screening during the week of Philly Sketchfest events.
So What Can I Submit?
Submit your favourite scripted content developed for screens. We are looking for pre-shot/pre-produced video content, not live streaming events (think comedic short films,, TikToks/micro-comedy, character pieces etc.)
The sketches can range from comedic short-form digital shorts, shot-at-home solo pieces/sketches, absurdist animations to comedic music videos. If it's short and funny...we want to see it!
The submission fee for this year’s film fest is $20.
