The Pass Area International Film Festival brings the best of Domestic and International film making to the Pass Area. Our goal is to bring talented filmmakers from around the world to the first festival of its kind in the Pass Area. The Pass Area International Film Festival is run by the Pass Area Performing Artists, a nonprofit theater associated with the Cultural Alliance in Banning, CA.

***All Winners will be awarded a certificate for their achievement and will be viewed during the festival. Winning filmmakers will also receive All-Access Passes to the festival.

Category Rules -

Short Film - Running time less than 60 minutes. Domestic and International Entries permitted.

Feature Film – Running time longer than 60 minutes. US Entries Only.

International Feature – Running Time longer than 60 minutes. Non-US entries only.

LGBTQ – Film must contain an LGBTQ theme. Any running time permitted.

Women – Film must be produced, directed or written by a woman. Any running time
permitted.

Documentary – Domestic and International entries permitted. Any running time permitted.

Diversity - Film must be produced, directed or written by someone who identifies themselves as a member of a multicultural group, ethnic minority or person of color. Domestic and International entries permitted. Any running time permitted.

All film entries must be submitted digitally and be received by the arrival deadline of November 10, 2016.

If selected to be showcased during the event, all screening copies must be received by said date.

Non-English language produced films must have English subtitles or be dubbed in English.

All entrants certify that they have been given full rights to use any and all music in their films.

All films go through a screening process and are reviewed by at least two members of the selection committee.

Winners agree to participate in the publicity for the Festival as well as other promotional events, including the website.

Selected film entries will be notified by November 20, 2016. Awards will be announced on the final day of the festival. An Awards Certificate will be awarded to all of the winners.

Filmmakers or screenwriters accepted and attending the festival are responsible for travel, lodging, and all other expenses. All eligible entries will receive one ticket to the festival. Winning filmmakers will receive multiple tickets.

There will be no refunds given for films that are not accepted or are disqualified for not following category rules.
