IFF Pacific Meridian is the annual International Film Festival of Asian Pacific countries, established in 2003 in Vladivostok, Russia. We are the only Russian film festival, which focuses on the cinema of the Asian Pacific region countries. Actively participating in the development of cultural exchange, the festival brings together more than 60 countries in Southeast Asia, North and South America and the Pacific Rim. Every year the film festival opens and shows the audiences modern films.

During each festival about 200 films are screened in its venues. Films of all genres, length and formats find their place in its various programs. Competition program includes 10 full-length and 10 short films produced in the Asia-Pacific region this year.

Non-competition programs present new world and Russian cinema. PANORAMA program is devoted to the most prominent film events in Russia and abroad. IN FOCUS program presents masterpieces from one of the countries of the Asia-Pacific region, or of one genre. Over the years the festival has acquainted its audience with the films from Australia, Laos, North Korea, Russia, China and South Korea, with spy thrillers and horror films. Great attention is paid to retrospectives of prominent filmmakers.

The festival also embraces different cultural and business events: round tables, discussions on specific films, lectures, workshops, art exhibitions, Cinetour and meet-the audience sessions.

15th International Film festival of Asian-Pacific countries «Pacific Meridian» in Vladivostok will take place in September 9-15, 2017. The entry for film submissions to main feature and short competition program is now open.

Annual International Film Festival «Pacific Meridian», which was founded in 2003, is held on the coast of the Pacific Ocean. A distinctive feature of the festival, arousing the interest of professionals and spectators, is its specialization in films of Asian-Pacific countries. The Festival’s Competition program consists of full length and short films (up to 30 minutes) completed on or after January 1, 2016, with English subtitles. Feature and short films from Asian-Pacific countries are eligible for the Competition.

Anyone willing to present their film for participation in the Festival should indicate their wish to do so by filling out the entry form available at pacificmeridianfest.ru no later than June 20, 2017. The Entry form, the film in DVD format or the online screener link must be received no later than June 20. In 2016 «Pacific Meridian» film screenings and events attracted more than 30 thousand visitors. Festival programmers wade through 1200 of film entries. Annual number of incoming entries increased, but only 20 films will be selected for the competition program and presented to the jury and the audience. FIPRESCI and NETPAC juries will also nominate and award their laureates. Non-competition programs present new world and Russian cinema, the most prominent films and filmmakers from all the world.
