(1) Films are to be submitted through FilmFreeway. You may sign up for a free account with them to submit to this and other festivals.
(2) Only completed projects may be submitted, no rough cuts.
(3) Films will be accepted from anywhere in the world. They must be in English or sub-titled if in a foreign language.
(4) Films produced in any year may be entered into the NYSF.
(5) By submitted your film you take full responsibility for securing any and all rights and accept full liability.
(6) If film is accepted into the festival you must supply a trailer, posters, and the project in the required format.
(7) By submitting your film you grant the festival the right to screen and promote your work.
(8) We will accept films of any genre and length. No pornography!
(9) Official Selections will be announced and AWARDED LAURELS throughout the year right up until the actual festival which will be held in June. Being an Official Selection does not guarantee that your film will be screened. ALL Best of each category will be screened and at the judges discretion those Official Selections chosen for screening will be added to the Program of the NYSF June Festival.
(10) You may submit multiple times as selections and winners are ongoing.
(11) Film categories include;
FULL LENGTH FEATURE, ANY GENRE , DOCUMENTARY, HORROR, COMEDY, MUSICAL, ETC.(60 MINUTES OR LONGER)
FILM SHORT (UP TO 30 MINUTES)
NYC and STATE resident filmmakers. Film produced by a resident or a film that is set in NYC.
(12) BEST of each category will receive a LIVE screening, red carpet event, and certificate.
