Mississippi International brings together both international and domestic Indie Films and Film-makers each year in the capital city of Mississippi, Jackson. This is our first year at the Tinseltown Cinema in Pearl, Mississippi. This year we will once again have acting workshops the afternoon of the festival in the lobby of the theater as well as seminars on filmmaking and producing with leading area working producers.

Awards & Prizes

$1000 cash prize for "Best Film" of the Festival, given in honor of Neil Bloomer, our head screener and one of the driving forces at the start of the MIFF.

Rules & Terms

All materials submitted become the property of the festival and will not be returned.

DVD's must be clearly labeled with film title, category and running time.

More than one entry may be submitted. Each must be submitted with its own entry form and fee.

DVDs and videocassettes and will not be returned.

Entry fee is nonrefundable.

For preview purposes please send one DVD (NTSC preferred).

Filmmaker will assume shipping costs to the festival.

Titles produced in languages other than English must have legible English subtitles.

The selection committees' and juries' decisions are final.

Foreign entrants must assume all responsibility for clearing films and videotapes through U.S. and foreign customs officials.

Mississippi International Film Festival reserves the right to make any necessary changes in regulations or festival scheduling.

Filmmaker agrees that films entered into the festival may be selected for screening at the festival and may also be screened in other media in association with the promotion of the film festival via live screenings or television.
