This Gala Awards Ceremony includes awards for Student Films, Feature films, Short films, PSA/ Commercials, Music Videos, Web Series and Documentaries, . It was founded by Bryan Thompson, a 12-year Army veteran who applied skills acquired as a Logistics Officer to his entrepreneurial venture, resulting in the highly successful web-series competition, Miami Web Fest. The Veteran Film Awards is the segment of the festival designed to highlight the distinguished filmmaking accomplishments of his fellow veterans.
The "VFA's" take place on Sunday, September 17th at the Flamingo Theater 905 Brickell Bay Dr, Miami, FL 33131.

VETERAN STATUS:
All veterans are encouraged to submit.
Productions do not need to be war or military oriented.
Veteran status is subject to verification.

Cost of submission is $40 ($30 for students)

To submit as a student:
Must be currently enrolled in a United States-based FILM or Communications program (ex. Miami Dade College, Nova Southeastern University, New York Film Academy, UM School of Communication, etc.)
*We consider the student status at the moment the film was completed..
