This festival aims to bring together all corners of the globe to share passion of filmmaking. We look forward to exhibiting independent and low-budget films from all around the planet.

All non-english spoken films should have english subtitles.

Please note that there is no premiere requirement. Movies should have been completed in 2014 or later.

We have decided to split the festival into five main categories:
- FEATURE FILM COMPETITION
- FEATURETTE FILM COMPETITION
- SHORT FILM COMPETITION
- DOCUMENTARY COMPETITION
- WEB SERIE COMPETITION

For each of these competitions, the following prizes will be rewarded:
- Best film (or best web-serie for this category)
- Best director
- Best screenplay
- Best actor
- Best actress
- Best cinematography
- Best VFX
- Best editing
- Best sound design
- Best original soundtrack

Please note that we have created a screenplay category in which you can submit a finished screenplay. The best screenplay will be rewarded.

By entering your film or screenplay for consideration for the Miami Movie Fest, you authorize that your work is cleared for festival exhibition and accept full legal responsibility for the intellectual property therein. Entry into the festival constitutes permission to exhibit your work at the Miami Movie Fest.

The undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless the Miami Movie Fest and any other agents, owners and employees of said entities from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos entered.

Each entry must be accompanied by a completed entry form and applicable entry fees. Entries must be submitted on FilmFreeway. Foreign language work must be dubbed or subtitled in English.

Miami Movie Fest is an awards based competition calling for feature, featurette and short length films, for documentaries, for web series and for short or long length screenplay submissions.
All films are subject to reviews and rejection.

It is kindly requested, though not obligatory, that any awards received be mentioned in the promotional materials or websites of the films or screenplays being awarded.
All submissions are handled fairly and equally. We encourage you to submit as early as possible.
All entries will be viewed by the selection committee. The Festival will make no cuts or changes. All entrants will be notified by email. The festival does not pay rental fees for submitted work. If selected, exhibition format is Quicktime or DCP.

Submissions of film or screenplays will be viewed only after your entry fee payment is received and paid in full.
The Festival reserves the right to make any necessary changes in scheduling.

The number of screenings, days and venues is at the sole discretion of the Festival.

It is cost prohibitive for the festival to insure individual prints. Make sure you have your own insurance.

We strongly encourage you to only send materials you do not wish to have returned, it's cheaper and easier for all involved. Please do not send us masters, originals, your only copy, etc. Videos will not be returned.

By submitting your entry into competition in the Miami Movie Fest you agree that you have read and accept all aforementioned rules and regulations. Scripts must not have been previously optioned, purchased, in production or produced. Miami Movie Fest is hereby granted the right to utilize an excerpt from any film submitted and accepted for promotional purposes. The individual or corporation submitting the film hereby warrants that it is authorized to commit the film for screening to the public, and understands and accepts these requirements and regulations. The undersigned shall indemnify and hold harmless Miami Movie Fest from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees, and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss of or damage to the screening videos and screenplays entered. Entries will not be returned. Miami Movie Fest reserves the right to refuse entries.
