1. Films and filmmakers can be of any age and from everywhere around the world.
2. Except for the FilMinuut-competition, the film must have a clear "Limburg connection". This means that f.i. the story should mostly take place in Limburg, or that an important crew-position should be filled by someone originally from Limburg, such as the director, first cameraman or lead actor. The selection committee determines whether the Limburg connection is present.
3. Films in every genre and style can be submitted. Pick the category that suits best.
4. Titles produced in languages other than Dutch or Limburg dialect must have legible Dutch subtitles or should be dubbed in Dutch or Limburg dialect.
5. The winner of the FilMinuut competition will be chosen by audience, the winners of the other categories will be chosen by a jury.
6. Submissions only via the festival website or selected platforms, with online screeners. For deadlines and fees check the button(s) on the right. The festival will take place in June 2023 in Venlo, The Netherlands.
7. Viewing at festival only by digital files. We will contact you about this when your film is selected.
8. (Parts of) Your film can be used for educational or promotional purposes of the festival and its organization. If we want to use your film for educational purposes, we wil always contact you on forehand.
9. Please let us know if your film has its premiere at our festival.
10. E-mails with questions regarding waiving the submission fee will not be answered. We respect your work, please also respect ours.
The filmmaker holds the Limburg Film Festival, its management, juries, subsidiaries, agents, sponsors and affiliates harmless from any and all claims of liability resulting from entry. The entrant certifies to have full rights. Producer will indemnify the organizers of the festival against all claims, demands, costs, damages, expenses (including legal fees), proceedings and losses resulting from the screening of the film at the Festival or from claims by any third parties.
