At the Iodine Horror Screenplay Competition, we are looking for the cutting edge, the scariest, and the most horrific screenplays. Anybody can pump out gallons of blood and gore on a sound stage, but can you scare anyone?

Awards & Prizes

Ten (10) Official Selections in all three categories will receive laurels and physical festival certificates.

One (1) First Place winner in each category will receive laurels, an official "First Place" certificate and the honor of being the "Scariest Screenplays of the Year" on www.liveinfearfilm.com and facebook.com/liveinfearfilm

Rules & Terms

Please submit only PDFs of your feature length and short screenplays.

Feature length is considered longer than 60 pages. Scripts over 120 pages will not be accepted.

A short will be considered 15 pages and under but longer than one page.

One-Page scripts may include title page in addition to one script page. Any works in this category longer than one-page will be immediately disqualified. If your work is longer than one page, please submit in the "Short" or "feature" categories.

Iodine Horror Screenplay Competition will not own your work in any way whatsoever. You will retain ownership of all submitted materials.

Submitters consent to have their script material read and judged. Submitted scripts will not be published or shared whatsoever to protect the authors' work and rights.
