INDEPENDENT FILM FESTIVAL BOSTON 2015

MASSACHUSETTS DOCUMENTARY WORKS-IN-PROGRESS

In partnership with the UMB Film Series, IFFBoston will host a summit featuring Massachusetts filmmakers’ Works-in-Progress. Film critic, Peter Keough, will moderate filmmaker presentations before an audience of your peers, potential funders, broadcasters, festival programmers, brand partners and other industry insiders. The goal of the summit is to create a unique coalition of awareness and support for local filmmakers.

All entrants selected by the Festival Committee will receive an All Access Pass to the festival.

A jury will select one entrant to receive a $1,000 Work-in-Progress (“WIP”) prize.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS

· Works-in-progress (WIP) must be directed by a resident of the state of Massachusetts.

· All non-English WIPs must have English subtitles.

· This year’s WIPs are for Documentary format only.

· WIP must not have been submitted or screened at any festival or broadcast as a completed film.

· You may submit up to two (2) WIP, but each project must have its own submission form.

· The length of the WIP sample may not exceed 3 minutes.

· Please provide director bio, contact information and a short synopsis.

· Do not submit film stills or other marketing materials. If selected, you will be asked to provide press materials.

SELECTION

· WIP selections will be made by the Festival Committee

· All filmmakers will be notified by email of the Festival Committee’s decision by March 27, 2015

· Chosen projects will have one week to confirm acceptance of the offer.
