By submitting your script for consideration in the Harrisburg-Hershey Film Festival Short Script Contest (HHFF), you are authorizing HHFF use of your work for production into a short film (up to 30 minutes) and exhibition at the 2019 Harrisburg-Hershey Film Festival. You hereby accept that you have the rights to the script/screenplay and authorize the release of said script/screenplay to HHFF for production. You accept full legal responsibility for all intellectual property contained in the script/screenplay and are granting HHFF the right to utilize any and all parts of it for promotional purposes online, in print, and any other medium we may see fit to promote the festival.
You also authorize that HHFF and any associated production companies or entities will retain ownership and distribution rights of the short film produced using your script. You will receive all appropriate credits, as well as 10% of any profits received directly from the short film.
Should you win the Grand Prize, you will have the option to participate in on-location production of the Short Film. HHFF will provide round-trip airfare to and from the location, provided that you live in the "Continental United States" (all states, excluding Hawaii and Alaska). Should you choose to participate from outside of this territory, HHFF is only responsible for domestic transportation that is applicable. HHFF will also provide lodging during the production.
By submitting this script, you indemnify and hold harmless the Harrisburg-Hershey Film Festival and any of its affiliates, sponsors, agents, owners and employees of said entities from and against any and all claims, liabilities, losses, damages and expenses (including but not limited to attorney’s fees and costs of the court) which may be incurred by reason of any claim involving copyright, trademark, credits, publicity, screening, and loss or damage to the screening videos entered.
You also accept that Harrisburg-Hershey Film Festival is not responsible for obtaining any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property clearances that may be required for screening of your script.
Failure to adhere to any of these guidelines or any other guidelines for submission may result in dismissal from consideration.
