There are three things I look for when submitting to a film festival.
    1. Exposure
    2. Networking
    3. Technical presentation

The First Glance Film Festival nail all three of these areas.

For my short UNE LIBÉRATION, I chose First Glance because it guaranteed my film a screening at a state of the art venue capable of my playing my 2K DCP print with 5.1 surround sound in a large, sold out theater located in the heart of Los Angeles.

In terms of Networking and Exposure, First Glance knocks it out of the park. Our film won the audience award for Beat Short giving us the recognition and momentum we needed to launch a successful festival run.

No other Film Festival Submission out there gives a filmmaker the level of exposure to both audiences and professionals that FirstGlance does.

My short film "HUSH" won best short at this festival. We won over 34 awards with this short film and First Glance Film Festival was the one that set the fire burning. My first short film had been to Sundance and the experience was wonderful. I can honestly say that First Glance gave me that feeling once again. The festival honored all filmmakers and created an atmosphere for all submitters. There was a gathering after the screening night that was very useful for networking, in fact, the networking at this festival is a must for all filmmakers. My advice is submit and be there!
