The Factual Animation Film Fuss is an animated documentary film festival taking place in east London from 23rd to 24th September 2017. As well as shorts and features, we aim to showcase all kinds of unconventional documentary projects, including comics, videogames and websites.
Last year we screened 50 films over five programs, and held talks and awards.
Awards & Prizes
We will continue our collaboration with AnimatedDocumentary.com and bestow awards for the best films and filmmakers.
Rules & Terms
All films must include animation. All films must be documentary and so concern a factual subject.
Because of the number of entries received, not all entries are chosen to screen during the Festival. A prescreening committee will watch and evaluate each entry to determine which works are selected for screening during the festival.
By submitting your film you hereby give us the right to publicly screen your film.
Submitting your film allows us to use any publicity stills you have provided, as well as stills from your film, for promotion of the festival, and allows us to use up to 30 seconds of your film in trailers and other video promotion.
Your animated documentary does not have to have been made in the last twelve months. We will not allow films screened at FAFF previously.
Non-English language films must be subtitled. Filmmakers must secure all copyright clearances. FAFF will not accept responsibility for any copyright infringement.
