Everyday Arias film festival specialises in opera and world theatre equivalents in short film format . We welcome short film submissions lasting no more than 20 minutes focusing on an aria or particular aspect of an opera from any period and tradition e.g Chinese opera, Noh, Kathakali etc

Filmmakers usually have the opportunity to screen their films more than once as we often collaborate with other festivals in conjunction with running our own at Close up Cinema in London.

In 2022 we embarked on an exciting installation collaboration with the Klaipėdos Kultūrų Komunikacijų Centras on a project called "Songs to the Soul". This is an avenue that as a festival we hope to pursue further.

In the past and present we have worked with Hinckley Fringe Opera Festival, Gallery at Republic London, Hyderbad Indywood Film Carnival, SET Chaatts cafe, Opera in the city festival 2018, Beeston Film Festival Cafe Roya

Films must be no longer than 20 minutes long
Films must contain some aspect or element of opera or some music drama tradition i.e Chinese opera, Kathakali, Noh, Tazeeieh, etc .

    To have been selected to participate in this festival is a dream come true.

    Perfect venue for a CineFile like me, Drenched in authenticity and passion for operatic cinema ( as experienced through the broodingly sensual palette of Festival Director Francesca, who was a wonderful host) Tonight’s selection, took us from São Paulo to the Bronx, and from Winnipeg to Puglia and cut to the quickening of Opera in 2022.
    This festival is a creative revolution for world opera as we know it.
