Achieve for 2019

2019 Karma - Davis International Film Festival

The 2019 Karma-Davis International Film Festival will take place from 10/25-10/27. This year, we are excited to be showing seven films produced by local filmmakers in Northern California, from cities such as Woodland, Sacramento and San Francisco. The film screening will occur on Friday, October 25 at the Veterans Memorial Theater. Finally, we will celebrate the work of the filmmakers who contributed to our festival with opening and award ceremonies at the Hyatt Regency Sacramento, followed by an exhibit by Karma Automotive at Hyatt Downtown Sacramento.

FILM COMPETITION GENERAL RULES & GUIDELINES:
- All non-English films submitted MUST have subtitles in English.
- Each film may be submitted to only ONE category. Any film submitted to an inappropriate category will be disqualified.
- Films must be available as a high quality digital file or DVD for screening during the Davis International Film Festival, in October 2018. If you are unwilling or unable to give us permission to screen your film at the film festival, DO NOT SUBMIT your film.
- You MUST include your physical address in your entry. Please do not submit a film without giving us your address, which we need for our records.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
ANIMATION Category Requirements:
- Animated films of any length may be submitted to this category.
MINI MOVIE Category Requirements:
- Any fiction or documentary film shorter than 10 minutes may be submitted to this category, except animated films. Animated films of any length should be submitted in the ANIMATION category.
- All films accepted to the MINI MOVIE category will be entered into the DIFF PEOPLE’S CHOICE competition and posted on a website for public voting. If you do not give permission for your film to be entered in the PEOPLE’S CHOICE competition and posted on a public website, DO NOT SUBMIT your film.

The DIFF is a competitive showcase for domestic and international feature films, documentaries and shorts. The DavisIFF reserves the right to determine the eligibility of any project submitted. There is no limit to the number of entries.
Unless notified otherwise, all films officially selected are eligible for competition. All films are nominated and voted upon by an impartial jury of filmmakers, industry professionals, festival programmers and film aficionados.

Submission of an entry gives the DIFF permission to have excerpts of accepted work, including film trailers, shown in all promotional activities related to the festival.
