I cannot say enough nice things about this wonderful festival. The programmers, staff and participants were all fabulous. Communication was phenomenal and the event itself was everything a filmmaker could ask for: excellent programming that didn't compete with itself (our screening was packed!), the projection and sound were the most beautiful and gratifying I've ever experienced, we played at the amazing Wadsworth Museum's theater, offering the added bonus of the chance to see their fabulous collection, and we got a great discount at the nearby Hilton, which was in walking distance to most events, a quick Uber to others. Plus, who knew Hartford was so cool, too? There's a gorgeous park downtown (with an old-fashioned merry go-round -- $1 a ride!) and fabulous restaurants. The closing night party was super fun too (and with an open bar, no less.) A class act all the way. I'm so honored to have been a part of this 30-year-old (and counting!) festival. Thanks, Shane, Laura and everybody for a magical experience. I so hope I can come back with our next film.

My experience was A-1, First Class. It was the World Premiere of my movie, and they treated it as such with much publicity. I dealt primarily with Co-Director Shane Engstrom, and he was fantastic, but I met his Co-Director Laura while at the festival, and she was incredibly kind too. I attended the screening, and my movie (as well as the other two) were shown perfectly. I could not have asked for a more wonderful experience. Truly.
