Colourfest is a short film festival and distribution company that share stories of migrants, people of colour and LGBTQI stories with Australian audiences.

We have two streams of films we showcase:

Australian migrant and diaspora stories, with a focus on newly arrived migrant stories.

LGBTQI stories from across the world, celebrating gender and sexual diversity.

There are no awards or prizes, the films selected for screening receive a payment, as the license to screen includes the inclusion on a DVD for public library use.

Colourfest currently only accepts SHORT FILMS produced in the last five years, with a limit of 20 minutes. If your film is just a little over or older, contact us so we can evaluate it's suitability. Selected films screen in 30+ venues across Australia, and are stocked in libraries across the country.

Films selected for screenings will receive payment as part of the screening license.
