The Carolina Environmental Film Festival is an event held at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with the goal of bringing people together in order to raise awareness of various environmental issues through showcasing environmental documentaries. This event is organized through a collaboration of UNC-CH faculty and students. University and college students are particularly encouraged to participate; however, submissions are open to anyone who wishes to raise awareness about an environmental issue through a short documentary. We welcome any film that addresses an environmental issue; however, this year we have a particular interest in sustainability.

Eligibility:

Anyone is eligible to submit a film for the festival no matter your experience, age, or location of residency. Students, however, are particularly encouraged to submit films.

UNC-CH students can borrow filmmaking equipment and access production software through the UNC Media Resource Center.

We ask that our participants indicate their filmmaking experience level upon to submitting their film.
