The 9th Bueu International Short Film Festival will be held from saturday 10th to saturday 17th September 2016.

The aim of the Festival will be to promote the best short films made in the last two years in the international scene as well as promoting younger talents.

The Festival is organized by the Cultural Association Cineclub Bueu .

First prize: 3.000 € and trophy.
Second prize: 1.000 € and trophy.
Audience Award: 750 € and diploma.
Best Galician short film *: 500 € and trophy.
Best short film made by a Galician School: 250 € and diploma
Best Director: Diploma.
Best Screenplay: Diploma.
Best Actress: Diploma.
Best Actor: Diploma.
Best Cinematography: Diploma.
Best Art Direction: Diploma.
Best Costume Design: Diploma.
Best Makeup / hairdressing: Diploma.
Best Sound: Diploma.
Best Editing: Diploma.
Best Music: Diploma.

ELIGIBILITY AND PARTICIPATION

Only films completed on or after 1st January 2014 are eligible for entry into the 2016 Festival competitions.

The Festival is open to short films of all production techniques, forms, genres and budgets.

Any producer or filmmaker of any nationality who owns the rights to the films being submitted is eligible for the International Short Film Competition

The entrant confirms and warrants that he has the required legal authority to submit the entry into the Festival and to use all music, images, and content in the entry. Under no circumstances will the organization accept any responsibility that might arise due to any infraction of this clause.

Entries should not exceed 30 minutes in duration including credits.

Each participant may submit as many films as desired.

Films previously submitted to the Bueu Short International Film Festival are NOT eligible.

Films must be presented in their original language. If the language is not Spanish (Castilian) or Galician, they must either have Spanish or Galician subtitles or the original script and a translation to Spanish or English must be included.

The organization reserves the right to refuse a work for poor picture or sound quality.

Works that do not meet any of these requirements will be rejected.

SUBMISSION

The Festival does not charge fees for submitting a film.

All films must be submitted digitally. All works must be submitted to the adress info@ficbueu.com or through the FilmFreeway's online submission platform.

Deadline for submission:

30th april 2016 - 14:00 (local time - UTC/GMT +1h). Late applications will not be accepted.

FICBUEU guarantees that your film will never be used in any way other than preview mode for the selection process and will not be available online to the public.

For ecological reasons, we avoid generating unnecessary waste- we we prefer digital copies instead of copies by post.
