The Bridge Film Fest is an international competitive cultural event that serves to inspire and connect filmmakers and audiences throughout the region and beyond. Filmmakers participating in the Festival attend screenings of their films at the main 400-seat auditorium and other special events designed to allow interaction between filmmakers and audiences.

Categories

The Bridge Film Fest selects and honors films in two categories:

Narrative Feature

Narrative Short

o Dramatic, comedic narratives or live-action

o Anything but a documentary qualifies for this category

o 60 minutes or longer

o Dramatic, comedic narratives or live-action

o Anything but a documentary qualifies for this category

o 20 minutes or shorter

Narrative Feature Awards

o Best International Film

o Best Director

o Best Screenplay

o Best Actress

o Best Actor

o Best Cinematography

Narrative Short Awards

o Best International Short

o Audience's Award

Selection

Films submitted to the Bridge Film Fest are judged on their artistic merit and technical

quality. Each submitted film goes through a careful judging process and in two stages:

NARRATIVE FEATURE FILMS

STAGE ONE

Team members of the Bridge Film Fest view the entries and select 18 Feature

Films. .

STAGE TWO

A Special Select Committee of at least three members rates the successful 18

Selected Feature Films and they in turn choose 8 Films to be projected in front of a

large audience. The 8 successful candidates automatically receive an Official

Nominee Certificate and are eligible for awards.

NARRATIVE SHORT FILMS

STAGE ONE

Team members of the Bridge Film Fest choose 25 Narrative Short Films.

STAGE TWO

A Special Select Committee of at least three members rates the successful 25

Selected Short Films. 20 short films will be nominated for the Bridge Film Fest Awards.

Submissions

Please read carefully the Submission points and proceed accordingly.

 Submissions must be in Full HD (1920 x 1980) or HDV (1280 x 720)

 All submitted films should be not more than 3 years old by October 2015.

 Films (including English language films) must have English subtitles (.SRT)

 We accept films that have been shown at other festivals.

 We cannot accept films made by anyone connected with the festival committee.

 The judging panel for awards is entirely independent of the festival committee and

their decision is final.

 The festival reserves the right to use brief clips from all selected films to promote the

screenings.

 Entrants shall inform the festival of any changes to contact details.

Agreement

• Submission to Bridge Film Fest constitutes agreement to all rules, regulations and conditions contained in this document and your consent that your film be considered for any awards that may be given at the Festival.
• Submission also certifies that all film and music rights and clearances have been obtained.
• By submitting, you agree not to withdraw your film from Bridge Film Fest after it has been accepted.
