Submissions are due 8 March 2021.

The Changemaker Film Competition invites BYU students and alumni to document meaningful ways social problems are being solved.

Enlighten us with your fresh ideas, exciting solutions, or what you have learned regarding issues such as poverty alleviation, human trafficking, social justice, educational reform, food security, refugees, etc.

Selected films will be screened during the Peery Film Festival on 6-16 November 2019 in the Wilkinson Center on the BYU Provo campus.

Cash prizes will be awarded, up to $8,000.

Rules

1) Films must be submitted by a current BYU student or BYU alumni, including BYU Hawaii and BYU Idaho and Ensign College.

2) Your film must highlight a social problem and how that problem is being solved.

3) We anticipate that most films will be between three and seven minutes; however, there is not a time limit for submitted films. We suggest pointed, conscious, and careful editing to encompass your main message and to keep audience engagement high.

4) Film content must have cleared all rights to script, visual, and audio content.

5) You must submit your film online at
