The Athena Advertising Awards recognize creative advertising that depicts strong, bold women from all walks of life, recognizing marketing messages infused with ambition, courage, resilience, and moxie. Inaugurated in 2017, the awards are a joint project of the Athena Film Festival and The 3% Movement.
Awards & Prizes
The Awards presentation will be on Nov. 3, 2017, Day 2 of the 3% Movement Conference in New York before an audience of 1000 male and female creative leaders. The award presentations and the winning entries will also be showcased at the Athena Film Festival, Feb. 22-25, 2018 at Barnard College in New York.
Rules & Terms
Eligibility for all categories:
The Athena Ad Awards competition is open to all North American brands and advertising agencies that have developed creative campaigns since January 1, 2016.
Each entry must be viewable online. You will be asked to submit a URL during the submission process. Submissions in the Print category must be in PDF or image file (.png or .jpeg) format.
The Athena Ad Awards appoints accomplished creative directors and filmmakers who are committed to the advancement of women leaders to serve as judges. A panel of judges will review the best entries submitted within each category and pick the winning entry. Should the entries fail to meet the standards and criteria of the Award competition, the judges, in their sole discretion, reserve the right to refuse to confer an award in any of the categories. The decision of the Judges is final and cannot be appealed.
Please note: Fees are non-refundable. Entries withdrawn by entrant or disqualified by Athena Ad Awards for failure to meet the contest criteria or rules will NOT be refunded.
If the same piece is entered in more than one category please note you must pay the entry fee for each category.
