The Arizona Sunburn Film Festival is a festival celebrating films including; music videos, short and feature length narrative and documentary, featuring those that were shot in Arizona, and from filmmakers that are from Arizona.

Rules & Terms

To be eligible for the festival a film will need to have been completed within the past 6 calendar years to the festival, and have been shot in Arizona, or the filmmaker is from Arizona.

Any genre of film will be considered including, short films, music videos, features in narrative or documentary format.

    The Sunburn Festival is clearly a festival run BY those who are passionate about film FOR those who share that passion. A friendly and responsive staff draws a committed audience to a historic theater with a funky, art-house vibe. We were happy to have our short thriller “Cold Service” shown, and we knew that it was in good hands. Sunburners, we hope to see you again soon!

    The Sunburn Festival was great! It was held in a quaint, yet impressive, theatre in the heart of Tucson. I got to meet the festival runners, whom are very friendly and super passionate about what they do! They featured my short, Retribution, and I had the opportunity to meet another director from the category. I quite enjoyed the selections and look forward to submitting again in the future! Thank you Arizona Sunburn Film Fest!
