If you've been here before, you know Alaska's an intriguing place. About half of the population of Alaska lives in Anchorage (2013 population 300,950), a modern city with differing lifestyles and independent spirit. Situated between the striking Chugach Mountains and the stunning Cook Inlet, Anchorage is known for its outstanding natural beauty. The city is only a short drive away from glaciers, downhill ski resorts, and unparalleled cross-country skiing, hiking, and bike trails. Anchorage has a vibrant arts community, is home to two universities, and hosts the world-class Anchorage Museum. Anchorage is also a culturally and ethnically diverse city. In 2014, as many as 99 different languages were spoken by students enrolled in the Anchorage School District.

A film of mine was selected for the Showcase.
I asked them if it would be possible to send me some photos and I got a fast reply that they would send me some but until today I did not receive any photo.
Well, could have been better, but as it is their first Showcase, I hope they will improve things until next year. :)

I got a message I was selected, but the festival doesn't exist according to their site.

  • You still have a lot of learning how to hold a festival.
Your website is a joke. No info and no other announcements.
One tip. Look at the other festivals for how to do it right.
    Too bad for the money.

I had the same experience as the other reviewer. Given there is no mention of the festival on the linked website, this appears to be a way to drive traffic to their website whilst us 'suckers' pay them money for nothing.
