Director Biography - Alev Aydin

New York native, Alev Aydin started his entertainment career in Los Angeles in 2006, writing and producing short pieces of web content. His first web series, Turbo and Joey, was bought by FOX Digital who have hired Alev to write and produce the idea as a feature film slated for production in 2015. Alev's experience in the web medium allowed him to hone a unique voice, which not only gained him a large online fan-base, but also yielded the creative polish to foray into feature filmmaking. In 2011, Alev co-founded Exit 43 Productions with the goal of producing commercially viable independent content across all mediums. Exit 43 Productions' first feature film was the award-winning LONELY BOY, both written and produced by Alev. He followed that up with his debut directorial effort, the viral hit short film, FELLY, which is now being developing into a feature film slated for production in 2016. Alev's first hour-long drama pilot script, TRUETT AVE. was optioned by 21 Laps Entertainment, and together, they're currently pitching the series project to studios. He has also provided writing efforts on the 3311 Productions' feature film, AD INEXPLORATA, and just recently, he landed the assignment of writing his first studio feature film, CONTROLLER for 20th Century Fox. Alev lives in downtown LA.

Director Statement

Our goal with this short film was simple: to create what we call a "Nightmare Drama." I don't think we're coining a phrase here, or creating a new sub-genre of film, but it seems that that's the only descriptor fitting for what Felly is. We hope that the final product is a full sensory experience of this "new" genre. You will have questions after watching the film (hopefully). And that is by design. Felly is essentially a proof of concept. Something to help us set up the feature version - which is where we'll answer all those questions you have. Okay, maybe not all, but certainly some of those questions. Would you like to see Felly as a feature film? So would we! Send this link to your local Production Exec. and tell him/her to contact us. If you don't know an Exec., then please just help us spread the word about the film. We greatly appreciate it. We're eager to bring the feature version to you all. And soon! Thanks to everyone who watched the film. Even those of you who hated it. But please remember, as Pesci tells DeNiro in Casino, "BE NICE!"
