Feeling Blue
Feeling Blue is a narrative about a couple facing the difficulties of one partner’s depression. Addressing stigmas that prevail about depression and mental illness, the film evokes sadness and isolation as well as empathy for the characters as they face struggles while trying to go about their day.

Cheryl Aiken is a graduate from Ontario College of Art and Design University (OCAD U). She studied Integrated Media specializing in digital painting and expanded animation and minoring in creative writing. Trained in photography at Algonquin College she focused on stop motion animation during her four years at OCAD U. In her last year she finished her first short called “Feeling Blue” that shares a personal connection with her and how depression has effected people who she is close to. She has since continued her work with an animation collective called Rotojam that has shown their work in multiple countries, Canada, United States, Greece, Russia, Hungary, and South Korea in the past 5 years.
