Francisco Bendomir, a musical theater enthusiast since childhood, memorized the lyrics to every song from every animated film released between 1994 and 2001, the same year he won his first and only wrestling trophy. After making his mission to watch every movie available at his local Blockbuster in downtown Buenos Aires (even the ones in the art film section), he decided to begin studies in Literature, Translation, and finally, Film Studies, but true to his reputation as a bad student, he finished none of them. He worked for over ten years as a sound engineer and editor for films he rather not mention. He also wrote, directed, and produced a web series nominated for the Martín Fierro Awards, three short films (now four), and a feature film, which have been featured in festivals such as Raindance, BAFICI, BiFan, the São Paulo International Short Film Festival, the New Orleans Film Festival, and Fantasporto, where he also served as a jury member. He is currently a producer at Brillito Ltd. and is developing his next feature: a dramatic comedy set in both the 18th century and the present day, tied together by the figure of Manuel Belgrano.
