Director Biography - Simon Kobayashi

Born in 1980 in Paris, France, from Japanese parents, Simon Kobayashi has practiced music and writing from his teens, then photography. At 27, he got into documentary and filmmaking. He looks for strengths and weaknesses in his ancestral culture as well as the one that welcomed him. He gets interested in C.G. Jung's idea about fostering both the feminine and the masculin in oneself, and starts campaigning, in his own way, for gender equality. Training in non-violence and empathy, he likes to address relationship and intercultural issues due to communication glitches.
