Evergreen
Fifty years ago, Beau Townsend's family disappeared into the forest at the edge of town. Though his family was safely recovered, no one has ever believed Beau's story about how, when he went into the forest... something else found him.

David Scott has travelled the world to capture authentic and unique stories, always with the belief that in order to tell a story truthfully in front of the camera, one must draw from a wellspring of experience while standing behind it. He freelances as a TV Writer / Producer and is a Returned Peace Corps with an honors B.A. in Political & Social Thought from the University of Virginia and a Professional Certificate in filmmaking from Maine Media College. Evergreen is his fifth narrative short.
"Evergreen" spans themes of memory, regret, belief, family, trust, and most importantly, the need to understand ourselves by revisiting the past. The story came to me as I was driving across country from my hometown on the East Coast to San Francisco for the first time. Every day as I drove, the film was forming in my head. Like the character, Beau, in the story, I had too much time to think and try to figure out how my past added up to one long lonely road in Wyoming. By the time I got to SF, all I had to do was open a computer; the screenplay mostly wrote itself.
