Serving as West Bengal’s upcoming premier film festival as the gateway of North-Eastern India, the Everest International Film Festival (EIFF) is founded to showcase the beauty of the Himalayan range in the plains of Darjeeling - the 2nd largest city in West Bengal.

The mission of EIFF is to present quality films from around the world as well as support, recognize and honor indie film makers. It will not only be a platform for showcasing films and networking but will also serve as a travel city to the transcending Himalayan scopes of Gangtok, Mirik, Kalimpong, Darjeeling and Kurseong inside India and furthermore to neighbouring nations like Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan and Myanmar.

A full-fledged two day film festival showcasing not only excellent films and contemporary filmmaking skills with features, shorts, documentaries, mobile films, music videos and web series; but also hopes to be a dedicated contributor to the cultural arts, economy and education, through a highly effective strategic partnership model. EIFF will be introducing unique programs not only during its 2-day period, but will also have year-round programming through fellowships and workshops to keep the spirit of film making alive.

A note to express my gratitude that you have chosen 'nameless' as the Award Winner in the Animation category. As this film is an exception to the normative approaches to animation, this is a particular honour. I hope the Everest International Film Festival was well received in West Bengal and that you have the opportunity to tour the films in the future. Sincerely, Odette Laramee

From start to finish I have found the Everest International Film Festival to be nothing short than extraordinary. I was updated all along the journey of my work from "officially selected" to "award winner". Everest International Film Festival which just debuted this year had a good screening of selected films, and this is reflected in the number of films screened at the festival. I feel privileged that my documentary which has won more than 50 awards was among with many other good films. I had been present during the Awards Celebration and the Award Trophy is beautifully designed and looks classy. When I see this, it will inspire me evermore, and I'm very grateful for this newly acquired feeling.
