Director Biography - Ivan Smirnov

Hello! Most part of my life I've lived in Moscow, Russia. I wanted to become an interpreter, but changed many occupations. I spend all my spare time shooting films. Currently I live in a decent neighborhood next to two cats. I am open for collaboration and have ideas for a couple of new pictures. Feel free to contact me via e-mail: john714@yandex.ru

Director Statement

In this work, I wanted to explore the theme of loneliness and isolation of a person in a big modern city. Despite the availability of all kinds of communication tools (smartphones and the Internet), the cycle of affairs leaves no room for something personal. People do not have time to strengthen ties between each other, and cold detachment becomes the key that unlocks the doors to the unreal world of hidden desires.
