On the Move

Fragments of three different life stories intersect into the film. Doris is a hotel animator who came from Cuba, has been in Italy and now is living in Paris for almost 4 years. Rim is a young Moroccan student based in Paris who is interested in urbanism and politics. Since she left her hometown 7 years ago, she lived in Paris, São Paulo and New York. And Pedro is a multitask-self-made-man who came to Paris from Caracas in 1999 with 200 euros in his pockets. It should be just one stage into his dream to join his family in the USA, but 15 years later he is still in France, where he made his living.

Director Biography - Leandro Muniz Barreto

Leandro Muniz Barreto is a Brazilian documentarist based in Paris since 2011. He graduated in Social Sciences at PUC-SP (Catholic University of São Paulo) and have his MA in Film Studies at Sorbonne Nouvelle (Paris 3). He also was at São Paulo Film School (AIC). Now he works with documentaries films and other image practices in dialogue with anthropological issues and experimental methodological research.
