Emerald City

This film is the fruit of an unusual international collaboration between two new NYU Tisch graduates and the best of Ireland’s esteemed film industry, led by Edwina Forkin and her Oscar nominated company, Zanzibar Films. The film is shot by the expert Russell Gleeson in Longford, Ireland, and explores the reconciliation of youthful life plans with adult reality. Set to the stunning composition of Heitor Pereira (Despicable Me, Minions, The Angry Birds Movie) Emerald City reflects the simple beauty of true friendship and the lessons in resilience and faith that Ireland teaches all who grace her shores. The cast and crew of Emerald City is very proud of the film’s progressive use of a mostly female crew and production team, and the notice it has received so far as a step towards gender equality in the production industry.
