The Electronic Waste Crisis: The Journey of Oscar’s Phone

In this short film, viewers will follow the journey of a young boy’s recently discarded phone. Oscar’s phone will make the journey from the United States to Mexico City, where it will be left, along with other electronic waste, to be disassembled. The workers and civilians living nearby will suffer from the toxins that are released. This film will make viewers stop and think the next time that a new phone is for sale.

En este cortometraje, los espectadores seguirán el viaje del teléfono de un joven. El teléfono de Oscar viajará de los Estados Unidos a la Ciudad de México, donde lo quedará, sumado a otros desechos electrónicos, y estará desmontado. Los trabajadores y los residentes viviendo cerca sufrirán de las toxinas que son emitidas.
